Transforms your car to new
OMG...this part is so critical to the smooth running of your vehicle it is amazing. My Pathfinder started acting up with the transmission shifting erratically and bucking like a wild bronco. It would do this intermittently and would drive me crazy as didn't know why it was doing that and neither did the various techs looking at my vehicle. After a year of this on/ off behavior the computer threw out a code with the check engine light staying on.My Nissan tech stated it was my TPS and that it was bad.I ordered this Hitachi TPS0006 because it is the exact OEM part that came with the vehicle and almost a 3rd of the cost of a new one from the Nissan dealer. All I can say is - ordering this part was the best decision I ever made as i got my truck back. The Pathfinder runs like a champ again. It may be over 15 years old, but you'd never know that from the way it drives and how the transmission shifts. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Exact Replacement for the OEM Part
After trying a SCITOO brand generic replacement, this HITACHI is a perfect fit. It was very easy to install and make minor adjustments. The SCITOO brand was so tight making the necessary adjustments was very difficult.

Miracle Worker
I own a 2000 Nissan Xterra, who back in November of 2020 had an entire transmission rebuild. Fast-forward to December of 2021 and I notice it feels like he's not shifting correctly, hesitating on acceleration, and frequently idling so rough he seems like he's going to stall out. I of course assume the worst and plan to take him in to have that transmission looked at again. But since I didn't need the Xterra as a daily driver I just parked him and avoided thinking about the possible issues till a couple months ago.Luckily, my dad got to talking with his brother who suggested to first check if the TPS was working right. Turns out that's what was going out. This TPS is fully OEM, identical to the factory one we removed from him. It arrived incredibly quickly, was a very easy swap out, and so far has fixed the issue entirely. A+ quality, and I highly suggest it.

OEM part for 2004 Nissan Xterra XE v6
OEM for 2004 Nissan Xterra XE v6 4x4 even though Amazon says it won't fit. This is a direct replacement. Background for the diy'ers:Months leading to failure, throttle would randomly stick, then stutter before RPM's would kick up, but no CEL (check engine light).Gas mileage had been horrendous leading up to this point. No store codes or other indicator of problem. While idling at lights, truck would randomly surge RPMs. Again, no stored codes.Driving slowly down road, CEL tripped and held following codes: P0733, P0734, P0121. P0733 and P0734 are related to transmission. P0121 is related to this sensor.Ordered this part, and installed trying to adjust as well as a novice could. Immediately after CEL tripped and P0122 code stored. Now transmission is slipping between 2-3 and initial idle is high till it warms and drops to targeted 750 rpm's. Wasn't sure if bad luck in two parts possibly failing at same time with transmission or related to this sensor as it sends signals to ECM on when to shift. Was hoping for sensor, since transmission was fine immediately before, but in the back of my head, P0733/P0734 did also trip.Brought to dealer, thinking they'd give the Xterra it's last rites; however, once TPS was properly installed, all problems cleared immediately, including transmission slipping. It's only been a few days, but surging RPMs seemed to have ceased, which was a problem leading up to the P0121 code.Bottom-line, pretty important part that interfaces with the ECM/Transmission.Hope this helps someone.

Works as it should
Easy to install and works as it should. Life tip, the original screws are made of butter so be prepared to replace those screws.

Feels like I'm in a different SUV!!
I thought we were looking at an in-depth transmission repair as the Batmobile was exhibiting some erratic down-shifting as well as hard or abnormal up-shifts to the extent of appearing to be slipping at times. Untimed downshifts while on the interstate were driving me insane. Another symptom was erratic idling and poor pick-up. This had been going on for a few months and steadily getting worse. The only 2 trouble codes coughed up by the ECM pertained to the knock sensor and an O2 sensor, that's all. From the moment I started driving after replacing the TPS (by the way, this TPS is the exact one that comes on this 1999.5 QX4 from the factory in Japan), all of the abovementioned issues ceased to exist. Every single one! Wow! If you have any of these symptoms on your QX4/Pathfinder, don't overlook the possibility that it may be your TPS. But, if you have to replace it, don't settle for anything less than this Hitachi TPS. I will be well worth a few extra bucks. Signed...Trina's husband.
