Would this product be a good option for attaching a rear windshield to a fabric convertible car top?

It's more of a filler and sealer than an adhesive. It's great for filling spaces and remaining flexible, but it's not really that sticky. If the parts are attached with something else, this would be perfect for filling any remaining spaces. But to attach them by itself, I don't think so.

Is this stuff safe on auto paint to use as a non-adhesive filler?

I use rtv for all kind off repairs, Black drys faster than Red. factory paint, OK repaint not so much.

I have used various brands of RTV in the past but this kind is superior in my opinion. Working on a 25 year old Jeep and the block isn’t perfectly flat over the years but this product made up for any imperfections and sealed well on the first try. No complaints and will purchase again when needed.
