Very cute design
Pros: Very cute design, plenty of materials to get that design done with, the scissors in this kit actually cut the thread, not a lot of variety in stitches so you get a lot of practice on them!Cons: Instructions not clear and if you aren't already fairly knowledgeable about embroidery stitches you'll probably have to go to YouTube (I did). It was difficult to get a lot of tension on the hoop using just my fingers, I gave up and got it as tight as I could (wooden hoop with a screw and nut for closure) and would just retighten it and tug the fabric tight again periodically. The only other note is...it's a lot of curves and some of them are on the small side so just be patient with yourself and use smaller stitches to make it look smooth. Like the previous kit I've gotten and tried, it doesn't come with a needle threader so picking one up will make this much much easier for you. If you like the design it's well worth trying even if you're an embroidery newbie like myself. :)(The photo is after I'd removed it from the hoop and put it back into the bag it came in until I can get a frame to display it in so that's why it has Berya showing up over the design.)

Easy kit, pretty result!
I embroidered this project as a gift for a dear friend. It took me perhaps 12 hours, just a guess. I am very happy with the result, as is she. The two imperfections in this kit are: (1) It should say "each day," 2 separate words, instead of "eachday." I embroidered it the way it should be. When I was done, I soaked the finished work in cold water for 5 minutes & hung it up to dry. The manufacturer's ink washed out, as it should. So that problem was solved. (2) The instructions are less than wonderful. They are fine if you have embroidered before. If you are a beginner, you might want to look at a couple of YouTube videos, or talk to a friend, if you find the instructions unclear.

Great for a beginner
For a beginner in hand embroidery this kit is a good value for the money. It comes with everything you need to get started. I am not finished but I look forward to learning the different stitches. There are instructions included detailing different stitches but I stillneeded a visual and found some video tutorials online. I do like how the instructions recommend how many strands of the embroidery floss to use. Now just to finish it and decide where to hang the hoop.

good for some creative practice
This is a decent starter kit but not quite as good as others I've used. The design is pretty but the directions are a bit mangled by misspellings, mostly. The style is loose in the sample photo. My approach was to just make it my own so I took some liberties with colors and stitches. The hoop provided was difficult to tighten all the way so I gave up and replaced their hoop with another that was easier to work with. The cloth was thin and tended to fray a lot and pick up lint so I spent some time during the project de-linting it. This could still be useful for the beginner, esp. as there are lots of places on the internet to get stitch advice and instructions. There is plenty of thread and the needles and scissor thingy worked fine.

Happy
Like(s):Stitch instructionsNumerically coded colors and stitch type"Floss" has held up well to me repeatedly picking out oops as I learn. I had been worried I would need wax like in some of the bigger kits; however, no fraying as yet.I think I'll have quite a bit of extra floss at the end.Comes with scissors.Dislike(s)My dog ate the bamboo hoop within a few hours of my receiving the kit, which is why I ordered a replacement plastic one and learned it holds cloth much better. The replacement has a tongue and groove interface on the side. There's nothing wrong, per se, with the original as it is exactly what it seems: an inexpensive introductory tool.

Overall would recommend but don’t rely solely on the instructions provided
This kit included all the supplies needed for my first embroidery project. The instructions were a little confusing and really should have included more details, but after watching a few embroidery videos on YouTube I got started. It turned out to be really easy to do and the finished product looks great.

I loved the owl
I had a lot of fun doing the owl embroidery and it turned out well. I would give the seller five stars, however the instructions are not good at all. Luckily, I googled how to do certain stitches and watched videos which I prefer over reading instructions. It’s a fun project and easy to follow if the user is willing to google how to “...” stitch. I’ve already received my third embroidery kit and I look forward to the next.
