Super tasty, super convenient
Fishpeople's Smoked Salmon Chowder makes a very tasty, zero-prep, zero-guilt lunch. As an elementary school teacher with a very short lunch period, I'm always looking for microwaveable lunches (lots of rice and lentils, etc.). I love the convenience of this Fishpeople soup more than others as the soup cooks directly in the pouch which saves me the hassle of finding a can opener and, sometimes, even finding a bowl. I can throw it in the microwave, run and check my mailbox, and come back to a filling (12 grams of protein and 300 calories) and tasty lunch that I can eat right out of the pouch. I like to throw a little hot sauce in mine but it's great without. And as much as I enjoy eating the soup, I'm equally fond of supporting the company--a B Corp--which prioritizes sustainable fishing and using natural ingredients. I'm definitely going to check out their other varieties; the salmon corn chowder and crab bisque both look delish.

Really outstanding for a packaged chowder
I purchased the Razor Clam chowder pack of 4 and it was really outstanding for a packaged chowder. Tasty and quite easy to prepare it is the perfect solution to the eternal question of "What will I have for lunch that is tasty, filling, and not too bad for me?"Is it as good as a fresh made chowder from a seafood shack? Of course, not. But it is as good or better than the chowders I've had at 'normal' restaurants and miles ahead of any other packaged chowder I've tasted.

Delicious but where's the crab?
I've tried both Fishpeople's Crab Bisque & Clam Chowder, and they're both delicious. The flavor is so complex yet comforting enough to taste like an old-fashioned homemade soup. I love the fact that this soup is gluten-free. I've been gluten-free for 10 years, and it's very difficult to find good, creamy gluten-free soups, so I was super excited about this. Also appreciate that the plastic is BPA free and that it's microwaveable. It's such a quick, convenient lunch or dinner. The microwave warmed it up perfectly, and it was easy to remove from the bag and pour into a bowl.My only complaint is that there just isn't nearly enough seafood in either soup. The crab bisque had a couple of chunks of crab and shrimp, but the clam chowder seriously didn't have a single piece of clam that I could find. If I somehow missed them, they must've been so tiny. The crab bisque needs more ingredients all the way around because it's really just a cream-based broth, and the clam chowder is mostly potatoes. In any other case, I would give these soups a lower rater because it is frustrating when you buy a soup, whether canned or at a restaurant, expecting it to contain the seafood it advertises and it doesn't, but the flavor and consistency of these soups is just so spot-on that I can't rate it any lower. I'll continue to buy them despite the lack of actual seafood. I just hope Fishpeople will consider adding more crab/shrimp/clams to their soups in the future.

Good, but not worth the money
I love the pouch that these come in! you can microwave it and eat out of it so it's great for taking to work for a quick low calorie lunch. The soup itself tastes great, really good flavor BUT the seafood is very much lacking. The salmon one is the only soup of the four with a substantial amount. The razor clam chowder was probably my favorite, but only had a few tiny pieces of clams!I purchased these because it had simple, high quality ingredients and i liked you could trace the source of the seafood. But for the price, I wasn't wowed.I had gotten them on subscribe and save, but will likely cancel and try and find something cheaper.

Delicious fish soups
Each of these packages contains one fairly generous servings or two small ones. There are plenty of chunky ingredients, especially in the salmon chowder. They're more expensive than most canned or boxed soups, but I think they're worth it. The quality and taste are high enough that you would be pleased to be served these soups in a good restaurant. I discovered these in our local Whole Foods. As soon as Amazon took over, they were discontinued there, so I am glad to be able to order them on Amazon itself.

Don't taste clams or bacon
I was so disappointed! I trusted Fishpeople as all the other soups I've bought from them were tasty.. this was not. This tasted like a cheap potato soup. That's right. The only thing I could taste was the potatoes. I had bought this for a special anniversary dinner during the Carona epidemic. I baked a loaf of fresh sourdough to go with it and thought I'd splurge on the soup.. on my first mouthful I went to check the packaging to make sure there was no mistake.. it says clams on the packaging.. but where are they? I tried to not show my disappointment during the dinner.. but the meal was ruined. But hey, the sourdough was delicious!

Best on the planet
I love this company and their responsible ways and sustainability and transparency. I used to find their brands at Sprouts but haven't for years so had to resort to ordering online. These products are insanely delicious and filling while being healthy (with real ingredients) at the same time.I will continue to order their food and they're great to take for lunch!

Not worth the money
I was Very disappointed with these soups for the price they cost. There was very little sustenance in most of them and I had to bolster them with additional seafood. The flavor of the salmon corn chowder was really disgusting if I’m to be totally honest, I couldnt Even finish it. The bisque flavor wasn’t bad though.
