Deceptive Advertising
Photo on amazon shows three bottles of various extract flavors. Order resulted in delivery of a single bottle. Thought it was circa $4 per bottle, but no, it was closer to $12 per bottle. Product picture is misleading.

Not as advertised
Description and image implies three bottles of extract. Since they only sent one bottle, itβs overpriced - not a good deal. You can get this product from a lot of places.

Anise overwhelms the flavor
This stuff makes our kitchen smell great every time I open the cabinet where it's stored, but I'm less pleased with the actual taste--it has a fairly piercing anise note. When I mix it in with a milder syrup (Zatarain's, for example) it's ok, but honestly I prefer the Zatarain's made with coconut sugar, or Hires made with cane sugar.

Better than birch
Bought regular and birch. The regular has more flavor. Disappointed in birch. Will buy regular from now on since it is better IMO...

Good
Not quite the rootbeer flavour I expected - it's a bit of a cross between cola and rootbeer - but still very tasty.

Not bad
I bought a bottle of this at my local homebrew store. Mixed up a small batch in a 1 liter plastic soda bottle, scaling the mfr's recipe. One quart warm tap water, 1/2 cup sugar, 3/4 tsp concentrate, shaken til dissolved then chilled. Force carbonated at 45psi and returned to the fridge (with the carbonator cap on, pressurized) for a couple days. Good flavor, but something is a bit too prominent, perhaps clove. The root beer tastes a lot like Necco wafers.I need to experiment a little, maybe sweeten the next batch with brown sugar. I have some Zatarain's on order from Amazon, and I'm curious to see how it compares.
