why does it print garble

Your lucky if it prints at all. The software provided has never made it print anything for me without 15-20 minutes of grief.

Is this a wireless enabled printer?

I agree with everything leighr said. I would add that the black cartridge is less than $15 & lasts forever. I rarely buy color cartridges. I've had mine for 7-8 yrs and use it to print out 20 pg manifests daily for yrs. I have never had any problems with it. Wish I could say the same abt my wireless printer. I would absolutely buy this printer if you have a laptop or desktop that you can connect by USB cable. As for the reviewer that thought it was junk...maybe they got a dud??? Or maybe they needed to go to the hp website and update their driver. This printer is a workhorse!
