My first kayak and I'm very satisfied. The seat is comfortable and being 6'2" 230lbs. there's plenty of room and is very stable. Just know, that this kayak is not build for speed. As another reviewer said, "It's like paddling a barge" and I have to agree. It's built solid and I enjoy being out on the water with it. As a beginner it's comforting to know that it's very stable on a lake with boats leaving there wake. Would recommend.

I had never had a kayak before, and had bought a Perception Sound 10.5 and a Perception Pescador 10. The Sound was very comfortable, and stable. The only downside is that the paddle holder, that used to be included, and is shown in some of the pictures, is no longer a standard feature for this kayak. I had to buy a clip, add a bungee, to create this feature. Not sure why they would discontinue a great feature, since this is marketed as a recreational/fishing kayak. If you are going to fish, you need to secure the paddle somewhere.

I’m a big guy at 6’ 230lbs and been in the Ascend brand kayaks, but this by far is way more comfy and more importantly it rides much higher in the water VS many other brands. Tracks very well and is not a slug in the water. If you want a “sit in” fishing yak, this one gets my vote!

Purchased to replace a Field and Stream 12' from Dicks that wore a hole through the thin flooring. First time out my husband caught 18 fish - he was very happy. We hoped the groves on the bottom would help keep the tracking straight but it still moved more than his old 12' kayak but it handled well overall. He liked being able to turn easier. This is no frills so be ready to trick out with your own, better formed, rod holders. The milk crate groove in the back is very handy.

Solo rod mount missing from packaging... Onlything delivered was the kayak... Hoping the sender with send out the missing rod mount.. Other than that the kayak is perfect and just what we were looking for!

Great kayak for the price, durable & stable with some nice little features. I kayak rivers and coastal in Florida with my 3yo & it holds both of us very easily . (240lbs total) Would definetly buy another . Also cant go wrong made in the USA

Great boat for what it is, certainly not a kayak for long lake paddles, paddles like a barge above moderate power,but we wanted something we could knock around in gravel creeks with, it is durable, tracks well, and is very stable...couldn't ask for more for the job, look for something sleeker and longer if you are going to do more mileage

This Yak is fantastic! Tracks well, very stable. The material is very dense which makes for a stiffer kayak than most others. Cuts through the water well. Cargo room is great. Stop reading this and just buy it already.... TOTALLY WORTH IT!
