A lot of depth and strategy for a game of this scale!
Fantastic game with a great theme - despite it being composed entirely of cards and a few tokens etc. (no main board), it manages to elicit a good level of strategy from players as they fight for resources and actions. The theme is set in the Tuareg tribes which is well reflected in the gameplay and artwork. This is only for two players, but due to the compactness, it is a great way to take an in-depth away on holiday etc that could be played multiple times. Highly recommend!

We really like this game
Really enjoy Targi as a two player game, it's fun and just the right amount of competition. The rules are simple, but can be a bit much to take in at first reading, as with lots of games, but you'll definitely get it after playing it once.

Great
It's a great strategy game for 2 players. My husband and I played together and we had a good quality time. If you liked Catan, you would be excited about this game.

Great game
Quick delivery and great quality product. We only used twice but we're keen to play again, it's a nice lockdown activity (other than watching tv).

Excellent for a 2 player game
Slightly complex to learn the placing rules but excellent once you have played it once. Few games are good for 2 players but this breaks the mould and has good replay-ability value.

Worker placement game for two. A good puzzle.

Simple to learn, but very deep
This is an excellent two player game. The mechanic is simple to learn but very deep. We think it's a very clever worker placement game. We've been playing it fairly constantly since it arrived.

Excellent two player (only) game. The “board” consists of 16 border cards that are always the same and 9 center cards that vary throughout the game. Players take turns placing one of three “workers” onto the border cards (with limitations on how they do that). Imaginary lines are drawn between your workers and where those lines cross (row vs column), you place another token to signify that card is yours in addition to the ones on the border that you claimed. After each player places their workers and determines the two cards in the middle that are theirs, it’s time to resolve the (5) card’s effects. “Goods” cards grant resources and “Tribe” cards are what you’ll spend those resources on. Eventually, players will build a “display” of tribe cards that they have purchased in front of them. A 3x4 grid of 12 cards. How you lay those cards out matters towards your final scoring. We found the game very enjoyable, easy to learn, affordable, fairly quick to play and not as vicious as other two player games. Overall, a fine game.

There is nothing to cost too high. Of course this game is good and have good reviews but its price is too much.

This has become one of my favourite 2 player games because it changes slightly each time it is set up based on how the cards get laid out. I hear the expansion is even more variable. Artwork is a bit hokey but the mechanics are a good intro to two player games that go a bit beyond simple cards.
