so far my favorite out for the series
This book is so far my favorite one out of the series. I appreciate how the disturbing and dark aspects of the book tie in well with the characters. I enjoy the dark smut but what I enjoyed the most was the storyline.

Obsession, Hate and Seduction Kept me Turning the Pages of Kill Switch!
Kill Switch is the third book in the Devil's Night Series. Each story in this series includes the "Four Horseman," (Michael, Kai, Damon and Will;) has a large plot that includes these central characters, and a smaller plot that focuses on one of the horseman and the woman that he has a love/hate obsession with. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you read these books in order, so that you are not lost.Kill Switch is Damon and Winter's story. These two character's have a long, dark and fascinating history with one another. They met when she was just eight and he was eleven years old. Throughout the years, interest, fascination, attraction, and temptation, have turned in to obsession, seduction, and rage; due to a variety of circumstances that were out of their control for the most part.Damon is the most twisted and disturbing of the four horseman. However, we learn the reasons behind his dark ways. Little by little, we see a softer side and vulnerability that Winter soley brings out in Damon. I thought it was great how Ms. Douglas gave Damon's character so many complex layers. It added dimension and made his character interesting and realistic. I loved how loyal, protective, and devoted he was to those he cared about. With Winter, we see her strength, perseverance, resilience, and gutsiness. She can be vulnerable, as well as feisty. She doesn't let anyone run all over her, and that was a huge part of her appeal to Damon. I loved her character! The plot of Kill Switch was slow-paced in certain areas, and fast-paced in others. I especially loved the ending, and all of the exciting and unexpected plot twists! The story delivered a variety of different elements. There were parts that were sexy, as well as suspenseful, and emotional, which added to the ebb and flow of the story. A word of caution, this story is written for mature audiences and has dark and explicit erotic elements. This is not a "vanilla," romance, so if that is not your "thing," then this story is not for you.It was wonderful being reunited with all of the characters from the previous books in the series, and I am really looking forward to getting Will's story next. The teaser for his story had me dying to get my hands on it right now!!! The Devil's Night Series is unique and unlike anything I've ever read before. I have enjoyed all of these books immensely, and am a total fan girl for everything written by Penelope Douglas!

5 I See You Crowns
This is the story that you’ve been waiting for. Damon and Winter will leave you gasping and wanting for more! Their story is full of all the twist and turns that we’ve come to love and expect from Penelope delivered in a tension filled package of pure angst. This is one story that you cannot prepare for, so just sit back and enjoy the ride!“Now…” my sister’s new husband whispered in my ear. “Now, you belong to me.”I should never have doubted that Penelope would get me to love a character, because here I am, after Kill Switch, in love with Damon! Whom by the way I completely despised throughout the other stories. You get to really see him for the first time, and learn everything that he has had to endure throughout his life. It makes who is more understandable. It definitely does not negate what he’s done but it casts it in a whole new light. This man has been through something that many will never have to. And he’s figured out a way to compartmentalize that, is it the healthiest of ways absolutely not. But if you’ve never been in the same situation who are you to judge how someone handles their triggers. He endured years of abuse that has cause him some serious PTSD. And unbeknownst to Winter she’s the one that gave him his outlet to come back down from the brink. This bonds them down to his marrow. She’s helped him whether she knows it or not, she saved a piece of his soul that day.I love Winters character she is strong, stronger than what other’s give her credit for. And I absolutely adore that Damon fosters this strength. He never makes her feel like she can’t do something. Because to him she is capable of all things. This just melted my heart more for him. He builds her up but at the same time protects her against all else."You won’t make me dirty. There is no you. There is no me. This is us. Us."Winter and Damon’s relationship is a series of miscommunication’s and accident’s that were taken out of context. When Damon loves he loves hard and he fell in love with Winter. But because of the circumstances regarding how she ended up blind he could not reveal himself to her. Which in turn caused so many more issues. At first I was so mad at Winter for what she did, but as the story progressed I understood it to an extent. She felt betrayed and lied to and so I get it. But she broke one of the remaining good pieces in him. Their love story was truly a hard fought love. They had to overcome so many obstacles to be together and to ultimately forgive each other for prior transgressions and just be together. I think this is why they are one of my favorites. They had to fight and claw their way to each other. And Damon never gave up!“Having Damon around was the only time I ever felt solid in my life,” he told me. “He’s powerful. But painful.”I love everything about this story. Each one gets better and better. This world that Penelope has created is all consuming and completely addictive. These characters and this story line are LIFE! Penelope’s words seep into your blood and become part of your marrow, you slowly become the story. You are feeling what they are feeling, every emotion, every tension, every sense of danger rips through you as if your there. You. Need. This. In. Your. Life!!!!
