Polar Bears Paperback – Illustrated, September 1, 2002

My second grader needed to do some research on polar bears. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this book was perfect! The illustrations show things like a profile view of the bears’ den and the layers of fur and blubber that keep it warm. It was full of plenty of information for my daughter’s project, but with big colorful pictures that all my kids (2, 4, 7) enjoyed. I know we will be buying from this author again.

I teach Kindergarten. Gail Gibbons is my go to for nonfiction text! Another great one!

Bought this book as a read-aloud to the class. The content is educational and is suitable for students aged 6-8 (in reading level).

Purchased for a friend to read to her young nephews - it drew rave reviews.

Great to teach main idea!

The only book I can find the is about the article tundra with an animal by Gail Gibbons. Hoping for more soon.
