Dice are just great, aren't they? They're like math in physical form, which is just magical. These are no exception.Chessex always produces quality dice when they sell them in sets like this, and while the coloring may vary, the quality very rarely does. Fortunately I received the color I ordered, and the marbling effect is oustanding. For the first time in my purchases of Chessex dice, however, I did notice that the D4, D6 and D8 are literally rough around the edges. Not too big of a deal. The D8 also seems to have had the number punched into it when it was still a little too soft, and now has a bit of a dent where the 1 is. This doesn't seem to affect the way it rolls or its output, so I guess it just adds character to this particular die.In the end, ordering dice off of Amazon is sort of like having a child - you're never sure what you'll get, but you're pretty sure you'll try to love them as much as you can. Support your local game store if you have one!

The case was broken on arrival. When I inspected the dice, I found a small chip on the D6, and one on the percentile die. While I don’t think these will affect the fairness of rolls—at least initially—I do think they will affect the life of the dice. I only knocked off one star because while I don’t keep my dice in the case they come with, this break could have impacted its structural integrity during shipping, and I don’t know if I’ll get the lifespan I want to out of these dice.

I was looking forward these dices but upon arrival the d6 and d20 were missing. I tested the others and they are all balanced but the fact that I'm missing two is disappointing.

Beautifully cast in a mixed resin, these are easy to read, while still retaining the colours for gold ( gold/yellow numerals ), blood ( red ), and death ( black ). The black and the red blend in an inky sort of fashion, so the dice really are quite pretty, as well as being highly practical ( see below ).I like the size of these dice, and their sharper corners, as compared to most of the polyhedrals from Chessex. Straight hard edges like these have allows you to roll a die and have it stop, without having them continue rolling ( as dice with rounded corners tend to do, like Chessex Poly's ).You will like these dice.

Most of the opaque dice I've bought from chessex (Including this set) all have very poor balance. They will almost always show the dice favouring a certain number. Would not recommend if you want fair dice. All the other dice in the set were fine, I only see this problem with their D20's.

Bought these for my son for Christmas. They roll nicely, the color is great and they're easy to read.

I use these as my DM dice, because i love the look of them. Read and black with like gold letters? Pls, fam.
