Mathematics for the Life Sciences

I got this as a gift for my niece who wants to study biology and is about to learn calculus. Naturally, I had to read it myself. It’s outstanding: hits the right topics for biology students and explains them well at the right level of rigor.

The media could not be loaded.  Rented a used copy of this book, and it's a great price. Only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is that it came with the spine partially detached and I'm worried that when I return it I might get charged a fee for not returning it in good condition.

Book for my class - what I needed.

This is useful for my calculus for life sciences course. It describes the formulas in great detail. The only downside with this book is that some of the answers to the exercises in the back are incorrect or match up with the wrong problem.

for some reason parts of the book has the letters in a vertical line when they should be in paragraphs and obviously makes it inconvenient when trying to read/trying to complete assignments. if you are going to get it i suggest not buying the ebook and just getting the hard cover or what ever other option there is
