So much better and easier(!!!) than any other styling devices... former stylist here
These are the best stylers you can get for the money. As a former stylist I've had one for years; I have very thick long hair and with this it only takes about 5 minutes to do my hair to go out. I've been stopped in Vegas to be told my hair looks like 'Housewives hair' (meaning those silly plastic fantastic Stepford wife rich high maintenance housewives of whatever city). This one was bought as a birthday gift for my daughter at her request as she was constantly borrowing mine, which I've had for years.. probably my third one over the last decade plus. This model is so much better than other manufactorers as it has two barrel sizes included, and what I especially like is that it also has a cool setting so you don't have to fry your hair, in addition to low and high settings. I tend it start out with the low setting for 30 seconds, go to high for another 30, then to 60 seconds on cool to set that section of hair. At the most I do my hair in about 5 sections and get tons of compliments constantly. Best device for doing hair ever. One more hint... if you want to get major shine, take a baby pea sized dab of a good conditioner in your hand, wet the other hand really good, rub together like hand lotion, then only run through the length of your hair... then style. NO frizz whatsoever and the style will hold like crazy for well over 24 hours. Much better than styling products and much nicer to touch than sticky, icky, stiff products. EWWW ;)

Works for me
I have fine short hair and the smaller brush works just fine. Some said the air does not flow through the brush which is probably true, but the volume of airflow from the base is sufficient to dry hair with no problems. Perhaps if hair s long or thick, just do smaller sections.

Horrible Design
The pictures don't clearly show this problem. This is the 2nd Revlon product I've tried and found the design to be inadequate. The large brush is fine but the 1" brush, who the heck thought about putting opening holes at the connection so the hot air comes out through there and blows on your hair. I need the air to be forced out of the bristles to affect my curls. If I wanted air blowing on it I'd just get a round hair brush and a blower.I read Revlon was going bankrupt, well, if this is their new design stuff, I expect them to go under soon. There is no innovation and they are making a good product bad with terrible design ideas. And yes, I already wrote to Revlon and told them so.

Depends what you need.
I have fine chin length curly/frizzy hair. I wait until it’s nearly dry to use the brush. It smooths my frizz well and leaves a little curl. It’s not going to straighten your hair so don’t get it if that’s what you want. It’s not going to curl like a curling iron, either. There’s not enough “grab” to put any tension on the hair. The 1.5 in. barrel is the perfect size for me. The small one is pretty much useless, but i think it would probably end up cracking if you changed the barrels frequently, anyway. Power is fairly weak. But I don’t want it hot or hard blowing because that would cause my hair to frizz. It’s cheap plastic but it’s fine as long as you don’t drop it. I wish the bristles were a little grabbier. For the price, it does the job for me but forget it if you have longer, thicker hair or intend to use it to dry your hair. Next time, I’ll probably buy a little better brand, myself. I would love if it was exactly like the full size Revlon brush but smaller barrel. I’ve had that for months and it’s still going strong. It’s just too big of a barrel for me now.Update. Exchanged it for the more powerful one. Pretty much the same except only one barrel, much stronger blowing power, sturdier plastic. Worth the extra 20 bucks. Still has a gentle setting but has more uses than the 500 watt model.

Very much worth it!
I bought this on prime day and I’m so glad I got this dryer before they were out of stock. At that price point it was very affordable. I’ve not used it to curl my hair yet, but it’s sooo nice to do a blow out. I usually try to section my hair with just little hair stylist clamps and get to it. My hair is soft and smooth and it looks great. It’s not too heavy and pretty easy to use.Every now and then the barrel will pop off. I’m not sure why and it’s not a huge issue, just a bit of an annoyance. This has only happened 3 times in the months I’ve had and regularly used this product. I love the fact that I don’t have to wrangle a brush and the dryer at the same time. I’ve not noticed any smells coming from it other than the usual you’d expect from a new hair dryer. The handle stays cool. I have very tiny hands and I am able to use this with great ease. The only reason I took off a star was because of the barrel popping off, but that could be something I’ve done wrong. I’m so glad I didn’t plonk down $80+ for a fancy named brand. This Revlon is very much in the same league and much more affordable.

No release button
I was surprised as I was looking for curling brush, however I wouldn’t recommend trying on very long hair. Anything longer than shoulder length. The “curl release” did not release to spin free to remove from curl. My hair was Suck in those bristles TIGHT. The Only releasing the Actual Curler from the Unit. My hair & curling barrel got WORSE when actual barrel RELEASED ATTACHED TO MY HAIR! Nothing like their older model. Disappointed!

This does not auto rotate and the end gets to hot to hold.
I thought this unit had auto-rotate; it does not. You have to rotate it manually by holding on to the end with your other hand, and while this would not be so bad, it makes this unusable because the end becomes very hot and will burn your fingers. The end should allow more room to place your fingers, so they stay away from the heat. I had to return it.

Works for what I wanted it for
I wear my thick straight hair in a chin length bob. The dryer brush works exactly like I wanted on the cowlick at the back crown. The best part is I just woke up and it still looks good! Keep in mind that’s all I use it for. It’s too weak for me to use all over because it would take forever for me to style my entire head. I use a larger blow dryer brush and regular blow dryer on the rest of my hair. That said, I think it would work great for short or thin hair. Also, of course it’s hot! I’m sure it’s no hotter than a curling iron, hair straightener, or hot rollers. It’s just blowing the heat onto your scalp.
