I want to try the extra large style, too!
These are so much better than standard welpers! Solid, hard, sharp, good grip, and the chain! I love the chain!

Given as a gift
For the son who does it all. These are a great pair of Mig welding pliers. He's used them many times and is most pleased with them. Good price too.

Quality product
The media could not be loaded. I was just in the process of oiling these welpers and thought to myself "i need to do a review on these welpers". Here we go... I bought my pair about 2 years ago and have been using them about 5 days a week since then. They don't wiggle. The handle material is tough. Ive dropped them from about 2 stories up, seen them be ran over by a forklift, slid them across the concrete to a fellow welder, and I've got to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the durability and quality of this tool. I get asked all the time by my less quality owning welper using friends where I got them from, and enstead of sending them on a wild goose chase like I should I send them the link to this product. I highly recommend these to anybody who intends on using the piss out of your welpers and having them last a more than acceptable amount of time. To the company that makes them, great work. Please don't start cheaping out on material or the manufacturing process. We will notice.

Strong, Well-made Pliers - er, no . . . metal is soft and doesn't stand up
October 21, 2022. I took 3 welding classes. I used these in the MIG (GMAW) class. I found that the metal is softer than I would have liked. Half-way through class, the wire-cutting area was dull. I have also dropped them a few times, and that has marred the finish. If they were made of stronger material, they would be awesome; they are too soft for serious shop use.April 15, 2022. I am in a welding class next fall. We will be making practice welds on 6" x 3" metal, simple straight lines (stringer beads) and stacking up beads.Instead of having to track a set of pliers, a hammer, a wire brush, etc, I thought I would try these. When I get to welding something "real", I will have separate tools. I have the deluxe + version. The good: The pliers meet evenly all the way down. It really annoys me when such tools do not line up. This includes the wire cutter area - meets perfectly and straight. The flat hammer side is a little iffy, as one could smash a finger. Same on the slag hammer side, but will work for the small practice welds I have to make.I cannot say the handles are Ergonomic . . . They are curved handles with a soft yellow covering. I have large hands for a woman, and this tool does fit. I could see where it could slip out of a gloved hand. The "file" - course and fine - uh, no. They look the same, feel the same, and file a fingernail the same.As I have no experience yet, I cannot attest to the tip, which forms a square when it is closed, being a good torch cleaner. I shall follow up.As another has mentioned, the chain is nothing fancy, but will keep someone from walking away with your tool. The inside spring looks of good quality and is not too strong to make your hands tired. The bottom line is that these will pick up hot metal, and chip away slag, so they are good.Held up against an 8" x 16" block for sizing.

A true professional-grade tool
As a professional welder working 50+ hour weeks with .045 wire in a production setting, my welpers are the most important tool I own. On the job, keeping the nozzle clear is the #1 issue, since I’m cleaning hardened, caked-on slag and steel droplets out 10-20 times a day. In that respect, these pliers have proven the ne plus ultra. The files on either side of the tip grab and rip hardened slag out of the nozzle where other welpers just skate and catch uselessly. The broad, ergonomic handles keep my hands from bruising when prying out steel droplets that have adhered to the inside of the nozzle opening. And after three months of brutal mistreatment, the jaws are still straight and fine enough to pick up pieces of cut wire off the shop floor during cleanup operations. A casual or precision welder might find things to criticize, but in brute production work, these have proven to be absolute units. I wouldn’t buy anything else. I recommend the Deluxe, because they are sleek enough to easily put back into a pocket or holster without the catching edges of the Deluxe+. I don’t have a single criticism. Get some.

Great functionality.
Great mig pliers! Honestly, these can be used for pretty much anything you need for mig. Although, the handles are rubber like, so, be careful where you leave them while your welding.

They work just fine and keep me from buring myself and cursing.
For those times when you forget you're not wearing gloves, these little guys can prevent you from talking like a sailor while dropping the read hot thing you were just dork enough to touch. I use them for TIG they work for tightening the collet body and stuff. If you squeeze too hard you're put a tiny mark on the threads but nothing bad. I tried using them for cleaning the inside of the cup like you would with a MIG welder, not a good idea, I chipped my cup. But that's not the fault of the pliers. You could use them for other projects too instead of just welding. Not sure how well they would work in the kitchen or for small experimental surgeries during drunken parties, but they weren't meant for that. But for general welding stuff, they do just swell.
