Good but fades and no response from seller
The umbrella works well as far as opening, closing, and providing shade. The mechanical parts are still working fine after one year. However, the color rapidly fades. I bought a royal blue and within a few months it began to fade. Now, at the one year mark, its color is almost nonexistent. I emailed the seller and got no response. If you will have this in continuous sunlight, expect no more than six months of attractive use. If aesthetics are a concern, i would avoid this product as you will be disappointed in a few months.

cheap and flimsy
You get what you pay for... this was one of the cheapest 9' umbrellas so I guess I should have expected this. It is very light-weight. The material is nearly see-through. Worst of all: the crank barely works - it skips (you crank and crank and nothing happens), or sticks, or even reverses where you are cranking one direction and the umbrella reverses from either opening or closing to the other way! We are keeping it because my husband feels that these type of items are only good for one season anyway. But, really, should it be that way???

Holding up well, minimal fading so far
Now into second North Carolina season and left outside 365 days a year, umbrella has been holding up very well. There is some fading on the fabric but works as well as when new. the crank/rope is not always that smooth cranking up. The struts are reasonably thick and the umbrella has endured a few gusty days when we forgot to crank it down. It doesn't catch the wind as a vinyl umbrella. the powder coat finish is holding up. Tilt mechanism is sturdy but difficult to adjust given the size of our table. You have to reach on tip-toe to push release button. I used brown vinyl electrical tape around pole where table top hole is because wind would cause pole to rub against the glass (the plastic ring on table cracked long time ago).

Do not buy the base Amazon pictures with this umbrella or you will be sorry!
The umbrella is ok, though cheap and obviously will not last as long as the $300 umbrella I bought for my back patio. My real complaint though is that Amazon is advertising that this umbrella is "frequently bought together" with This item: California UmbrellaDC America UBP18181-BR 18-Inch Cast Stone Umbrella Base, Made from Rust Free Composite Materials, … $32.25. This might lead you to think this base in an adequate one for this umbrella but think again! I ordered two umbrellas with this base and it worked for about 24 hours--when I came home from work on a non-windy day one of the umbrellas had fallen down the outside stairs onto my patio and the other fell over a patio wall onto a shared driveway. This combo is potentially dangerous! I had to order a new base that weighed twice as much and cost significantly more to hold this umbrella--so my saving money on a cheap umbrella was obviated by having to buy a new more expensive base and not being able to use the cheaper ones I had already bought because Amazon was promoting the combo. Bad business! I can't like it and don't let it happen to you

Great umbrella for the price. Looks nice
I have ordered 6 of these and have mostly good things to say. They last from year to year, look nice and have a nice raising and lowering mechanism.Out of the 6:- one did fade a little and didn’t match the rest any more.- One broke when it was blown over in the wind I’m not sure if that could have been prevented.- And one didn’t fit into its own base and was replaced by amazon- 3 still looking great and going strong.

Crank handle is poor design, but otherwise ok.
The material and color are excellent. We would have rated it higher except for one irritating (but not enough to return the umbrella) issue: the design of the crank handle for raising and lowering the umbrella, The complete handle is one piece. Accordingly, the part you grip as you turn the handle rotates against your hand, rather than rotating as a free-wheeling piece on the overall handle. Given that the force required to turn the handle is fairly high in comparison to every other patio umbrella we have owned, that additional friction against the hand is, as I said, irritating.--David

Good value
Have had this product for only about one month short time to provide good review. can say the product seems well constructed and has made it through a couple of storms with no problem. Real test will be making it through the Arizona summers. As indicated prior we have only had this product about one month but that was a month of Arizona summer where a poor product can't make even a month in our summer. So far so good......

Frustrating
So we have used this for 2 seasons and this year when I put it out I noticed that the button that you press to tilt the umbrella fell out. I have never used the tilt function before so I’m not sure why that would break off. Now it won’t stay vertical, it is in perpetual tilt-mode. Everything else about it is fine but since they don’t have any replacement parts I have to throw out an otherwise perfectly good umbrella. Sucks.

Low quality fabric
Low quality fabric, crank has difficulty bringing assembly to fully open position.

very happy with the umbrella, except the tilt button is hard to reach if you are only 5'4"

Good look and quality, colour exactly as shown. Light weight polyester fabric blend; weave density does block the sun.

Poor manufacturing
The opening mechanism is not working. The umbrella has to be pushed up manually and after that operate the leaver to open the umbrella
