Very Fast Shipping
The content of this book is not the sellers fault. Iโm rating the seller bc it shipped the same day, condition was just as rated (used book, no damage, etc). I ordered on a Saturday and it arrived Monday. If you are looking at context itโs not very cohesive and is mostly meditations.

Wonderful
An excellent work on a much misunderstood power. I would recommend reading 'Guises of the Morrigan' by David Rankine and Sorita d'Este before it or at least some of the primary texts of Irish mythology if you are not familiar first. But even without that preparation the author does an excellent job explaining the background of his topic. Again, excellent work!

Don't waste your time....a Google seach would give you better info
Now that I have finished reading this book I am editing my first review. So here it is: I really hate giving a bad review but there are very few books I find that I first look forward too then find I want to throw at the wall. And this is one of them. It kind of felt since there is now a lot being put out there about the Morrighan that the author just wanted to write something quickly to just get on the band wagon and get his two cents in, without really writting much about the Morrighan in his book at all. When I first ordered this I expected this book to be larger based on what it is said to contain on the back cover, so I was a little disappointed when I got it and saw how thin it was, and that most of the topics are only touched on briefly. I probably should not judge a book based on size, but it is a sign of what is to come when you start reading- there isnt much there. Little ot no real history, and he randomly starts talking and connecting Morrighan to other goddesses. I;d have no problem relating her to other goddesses if there was a reason or a parallel, but at one point it mentions her connection to the earth, then is like oh well here are a bunch of other Celtic earth goddesses that have nothing to do with Morrigan so lets work with them since they are all connected to the earth yah! For example the author connects Morrighan to Cerridwen based on his own personal feelings. Yes they are similar Goddesses but not the same, and there is no connection between them in mythology. There really is a lot of of history to this Goddess, and its sad that it is glossed over in this book. Also there wasn't much info about how to work with her aspects. If you want a more indepth guide I suggest you check out Stephanie Woodfield's book Celtic Lore and Spellcraft of the Dark Goddess: Invoking the Morrigan, which I have to say is excellent. The history/info about her mythology was very brief, at times very vauge, or just plain non-existant. A small paragraph about her role in a given myth just doesnt seem right. If this had been my first book about the Morrighan I really would have been left no really knowing anything about her after reading this. When I came across this book I was happy to see more being written about this goddess but I was just was hoping for more. I honestly could learn more about her by doing a Google search.

A Feast of Information
Christopher Penczak has done it again. His new book on the Celtic crow goddess brings his usual easy-going style of writing and friendly approach to learning new things. As someone dedicated to the Dark Goddess in all her guises, I found this book tremendously helpful in deepening my connection with the Morrighan. There are other books on this goddess, but none lay out the information in a way that's not only scholarly, but easily accessible as for all. I felt like I could immediately put to use the information in each section as I turned the pages. As a grimoire, Penczak shares his own personal rituals and insights which would be very helpful for folks just getting to know this mysterious goddess. The Morrighan is not for the faint of heart. Those who approach her must do so with strength and heartfelt daring. This is exactly the type of book that can help you cultivate those things for a lifetime.

One of my favorite books
I'm rating 5 stars because I find Penzak's experiences relatable, as I have gone through similar experiences. One example is that I'm a solid worker, & when I lead on my path in the beginning, I wasnt able to keep jobs & was let go for peculiar reasons. I focused on becoming a Certified Tarot Reader, Registered Hetbalist, & avid tin whistler that I am today. I mainly work with Macha along with the other aspects of The Morrigan, & I find this book sentimental & insightful.

The author does a good job of giving background into the Morrighan as well ...
The author does a good job of giving background into the Morrighan as well as linking to other forms of shamanism. I do feel that there was a little too much "debate" in the book (the author debating theories), and not as much "grimoire" as expected. A great read overall, but I am still searching.

Guidance not Dogma...
When considering this work, the reader will need to keep in mind that it is not intended as a scholarly / historical treatise on the history of the Great Queen...it is more of a reflection on the author's experience over time and the process of integrating those experiences into the larger context of available history / literature.Personally, I enjoyed the work overall - the author has an easy, conversational style, and much of his experience matches my own. As supplemental material for someone looking for a way to incorporate the mythology, it can be helpful; if looking for primary source material, the reader is advised to brush up on their archaic Gaelic and consult the available (if fragmentary) literature.

Wonderful book...
I absolutely loved the book. There are only few books about The Morrighan and this one is definetely a MUST HAVE. It's wonderfully written and has so many useful information, meditations, recipes... Thank you so much, Christopher Penczak, for an amazing book about an amazing and mysterious, powerful Goddess. I am pretty sure Her followers will enjoy it as much as I did. I'm already reading it for the second time, absolutely amazed.

Goddess Morrigan
The paper the page's are made from are a little thin, but the information within its pages is brilliant. Recommended read for anyone who follows the Goddess Morrigan or is studying Her

Not exactly what I thought
I'm into the dark Goddess path for a long time and I was looking for something new and different but this book is a little different from the presentation. It talk a lot about the myth and mythology instead of guide on the path of the Dark Goddess and, as someone else wrote, contains a lot of personal experience and personal feelings of the author. On one side this could be interesting but on the other for me it is a bit confusing.

Not for me, but may be a better fit for others.
Very surface level material, not enough primary sources included, and generally lacked the depth I was looking for. Some nice rituals, but also a lot of (IMO) less solidly researched information and pop culture generalizations. That said every relationship with dirty is different, and Iโm sure some others will feel this fits their path better.

Not very well written
Not a very well written book. As a devotee to An Morrighan there are many inconsistencies in regards to Irish Pagan practices and also to the Irish myths. This book isn't good to use if you are looking to have a strong Irish Pagan foundation. Not impressed. A waste of money.
