Ridiculously comfy!
The most comfortable boots ever!! Very well made and identically matched. Get some decent wool socks and you're golden (doesn't have to be fancy expensive).Don't know why some complained about the tongue; you just have to ensure its flattened and creased on the sides when you lace up the first week or so of wear and it'll stay.My only complaint is that they RUN VERY LARGE. My foot is literally 11.5 inches long and I wear a 13 or 12 in everything else. But I had to get the 11.5 size boot. To be fair, I think the sizing is like this for most work/safety boots and boots with no laces like cowboy boots.Lastly, don't oil or wax them! Wait several months or more to at least to break in since many of those will clog up the pours or attract dirt and look bad. They're already 'x-stream waterproof' but if you're really soaking them everyday then you probably already know you need bees wax or something. If you're unsure, then stay away.

Fits like a glove, water tight, Made in USA by Union Workers
Amazing boots. Out of the box the leather was a little stiff but I used Obenauf’s Heavy Duty Leather Preservative on them once and now they fit like a glove. I work Pipeline in the hills of WV so I needed something that would be water/mud proof, with good traction for the hills, and feel good all day and these are the best boots I’ve found. Made in USA by Union workers. Highly recommend.Note* this is not a paid ad, and I received no compensation for this review.

Even the Wide is Narrow
So far, one week in, had to go up a whole size to get something where the steel toe wasn't digging in. Very tight on the sides still, but I think they will break in. I was really shocked and annoyed by the tongue, but as many people point out, you just have to break it in. A serious pain the first few times you do it, but eventually it will lay flat. I recommend pulling and stretching it, since most of the problem is the liner, not the leather. The finish is a bit inconsistent from one boot to the other, (stitching, shape, alignment) but as they are hand made, I'll let that slide. Otherwise they seem really tough and provide great ankle support. Once you get the insole lined up right (also a pain) they are reasonably comfortable to wear all day.

Great shoe
The fit was spot on. Nice laces. They stay tied all day with a single knot. Very comfortable from the beginning. The oddest tongue ever. It takes several wearings requiring you to hand form the tongue around your upper foot before it takes a normal shape. Bizarre. Highly recommend this shoe. MADE in USA!

False advertising
Uncomfortable and they say free returns but then in the fine print they say you have to pay shipping to return them. How is that a free return? I’ll go to a local boot store and give them my hard earned money.

No exchange policy
The quality was actually the best I’ve ever seen years ago, which kept me coming back every year, but recently that quality has taken a turn in a negative way I tried to exchange them for another pair, but they’re no exchange policy stuck me with a $300 pair of work boots to donate to somebody that don’t mind the defects. The right boot was missing the foot cushion the left boot had a large rubber obstruction under the fabric and the heel had a rubber cushion over the top of the fabric where the fabric fell short of meeting the back of the heel. Maybe not a big deal but try walking in them for 8 to 10 hours a day. Your left foot would not be happy. Still cosmetically the boots looks great. After years Time for another brand.

My second pair
Once you break in the boot, it’s honestly the best boot I’ve ever worn. This is my second pair and I bought the last pair 4 years ago and wore them every day. I will only buy Thorogood boots especially since they are union made and made in Wisconsin.

Better than brunt’s
Love these boots last pair I had lasted me 6 years with only one resole needed. I still have them and wear them everyday.
