This mattress cover is amazing. I have a 2 year old who's bed is ALWAYS wet. I purchased 2 of these covers for his bed to swap out.That being said... the top of the cover is soft, the back of the cover is like a flexible plastic material. Great at keeping the mattress dry but be careful when drying it. It tends to stick together and you have to pull it apart. I fear that on too high a setting, the dryer would melt this plastic.

We always keep waterproof mattress pads on our bed to help protect the mattress from drink spills or anything. We upgraded to a king size bed and needed a new protector. Thought we would give this one a try. Not sure if we got a defective one or what but it definitely makes noise unlike the package says. It is VERY loose on the bed even after washing even though we have a 12" deep mattress. It is not very soft but that is not a deal breaker as your suppose to put a bed sheet over it anyways. Tested out the water proof of it by pouring 1cup of water and holding it up. After about 30 seconds it did start to drip through. Like i said it may be defective but it was also a cheaper one then i usually get. If the waterproof feature is what you are looking for definitely recommend testing it first.

It’s like a fuzzy soft material on top and the water resistant material underneath! Doesn’t make a plastic sound when moving around which is nice. I got a great deal on this king size mattress protector! Exactly what I was looking for! And it’s nice because I can just toss it in the washer to clean

I cut this up to help make waterproof cage liners for pet rats. I know it’s not the intended use, but it worked perfectly— and if it works for that, it would work just as well on a bed. Their nails can get caught up in the terry fibers, so If you plan to use this for your pets, just sew a layer of fleece or something on top. That’ll wick the moisture away and the terry will absorb it, while the backing keeps everything underneath dry.

My child, who has nightly accidents and her own room, keeps crawling into my bed every night. Despite nighttime diapers and incontinence pads, things shift when they shouldn't so I bought this. This cover is extremely thin but does its job perfectly. I still use incontinence pads and the nighttime diapers, this cover is just to protect the mattress. I guess the only downside is that it is so good at waterproofing, when you take it out of the washer its inevitable that water is going to be stuck in its folds and crevices. In other words, it will be soaked. I just wring the thing out, and dry it on low in the dryer. That's the downside to something that is so good at waterproofing lol.

this is only water proof at the very top center, so if your child or anyone gets sick or pees or anything while on the edge of the mattress its likely to reach the mattress. I was very disapointed when I realized it wasn't actually going to protect the whole mattress as I expected.

Bought this for a trundle bed when twin grandkids come to stay. Didn't want to spend too much- but have the security if there is an accident, not to destroy the mattress, or have child uncomfortable. No plastic like sound or feel, is soft and well made. No issues with fit. Works well. Glad I got this for comfort and peace of mind!
