Fits tight. May be it should been little big. Can it also be hard cover as a option rather only soft cover.

Rain and dust cap for nikkor 200-500mm.
Good product. Quality product. Covers the hood of Nikkor 200-500mm well. I would suggest to fix a velcro attachment to release the cover from the hood to take photos quickly, that it can hang below the hood. Then it can be lifted and fixed over the hood.

Useful if you don't use the wildroar rain and dust cover..
It's an awesome product. Just received this morning.But I didn't find it useful because I've ordered the rain and dust cover and cap together. And the cover itself is so big that it covers the lens, camera, lens hood even at 500 mm (full zoom).. It'll easily cover my lens. Nice protection
The original hood provided by the Lens company is supposed to be adequate protection. But not on a Safari or on a boat. Dust, water, sleet etc. Can get through the front and damage the lens. This is additional protection, worth its price!
