Fullmetal Alchemist: Fullmetal Edition, Vol. 7 (Volume 7)

This is a great build up in the story of full metal alchemist. Always great to read and looking forward to the next one.

Quickly became one of my favourite manga

great volume!! So many new developments. embodies everything what I like with reading action manga: it has non-stop action, has the perfect balance of humor and drama

While Edward is away for his yearly assessment Alphonse is confronted by a group of thugs with animalistic powers. The group kidnaps Al and takes him to see their boss, a man with an ouroboros tattoo who calls himself Greed who wants to make a trade for alchemical knowledge.This seventh volume of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga is another great volume being both funny and having some nice action. Greed is definitely one of my favourite characters in the series so far with a nice mix of humour and menace. The volume also has some interesting information on another good character, Führer President Bradley and leaves things with a very good cliff-hanger ending.

This one is quite fast paced with lots of new characters and essential character developments.While Ed is on study leave at South Headquarters for his annual assessment, Al receives a note from a group of chimeras, claiming that they have important information about him. Al tries to force them to reveal this information, but is captured and brought to the Devil's Nest bar. There he meets another homunculus, Greed. Izumi and Ed both attempt to get Al back, but are thwarted when Greed changes the composition of his body to resist damage. A military force under Führer King Bradley storms the Devil's Nest while Edward is fighting Greed in his transformed form.This volume differs slightly to the anime but it is very good.

FMA is probably one of the best anime and manga series' out there. The story moves a lot faster in the manga and there are quite a few plot changes - fans of the anime should definitely buy this.I recommnd Full Metal Alchemist to new manga fans too - the plot is complex, exciting and dramatic - there's a lot of humour as well!The artwork is incredible - particularly in the action scenes. Arakawa's illustrations are detailed and realistic.Volume 7 is definitely my favourite so far and I can't wait for the rest of the series!
