HATE IT!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so I read a lot of the reviews here about that how easy and great this thing is to use and the truth of it is that the ease of its use is solely dependent on how fast and accurately you can cram/twist your food item of choice through... its really not that easy - kind of awkward to hold, creates inconsistently shaped noodles, and after only one zucchini and my wrist was mildly fatigued. For my family of five with three teens, I would need to spiralize at least 10 zukes to replace pasta in a satisfying way. I don't have the time or the wrist endurance for that! Plus, it leaves a good 2 inches of every zucchini and God forbid try to cram it in just a little bit further because you will get bit on your knuckle just like I did (see the attached picture for your viewing pleasure but not if you're squeamish at the sight of blood)!!! .....and yes, I did read the reviews about how sharp this thing is and how to be really careful and I still cut myself even though I was thinking I was being really careful! The cap thingy does not help whatsoever, it's prongs are not long enough to really anchor the vegetable and it barely pushes it in farther than your fingers can safely. So I ended up slicing up the last few inches like normal which kind of defeats the purpose of having a spiralizer to make noodles, doesn't it?Something interesting to consider.... after receiving this and trying it out, I looked at numerous 5-star reviewers' history of reviews to try and determine if they were legitimate reviews or not, and many of them had nothing but 5-star reviews for every product they had reviewed. So even if they are legitimate, which I'm not entirely sure about, can we really take their word for it if every single product they ever reviewed has nothing but 5 stars? So to sum it up this thing is definitely not worth the crazy supposed original price of $50 and in my opinion not worth the $15 I paid for it either. I forgot to mention that their "awesome" little brush does not make it any easier to clean then your typical dish brush, cuz it's just a plain pain in the butt. Going back... buh-bye! Hello crank-style spiralizer!

Gluten Free with Elacra Spiralizer
I am so excited that I was able to get the Elacra Spiralizer. I love the way I can make delicious and healthy alternatives to pasta with the Spiralizer. It is very easy to turn zucchini, carrots, cucumbers, etc. into long strands of delicious vegetable spaghetti. This will help me to eliminate lots of gluten dense foods from my diet and still get the enjoyment of different mock pasta dishes. There is a vegetable peeler that cleanly and easily preps the vegetables. The pairing knife is also included, which helps to cut the ends off of your vegetables. The Spiralizer is easy to use by inserting the vegetable into the opening on either end of the Spiralizer, depending on the desired width of the spaghetti. When a small piece is left, simply use the small disc with gripping prongs to hold the vegetable in place and turn without your fingers coming into contact with the blade. There is a small brush that is also included to help remove any residue left on the blade of the peeler or Spiralizer. I also love that it is dishwasher safe. I look forward to making more recipes using my Elacra Spiralizer.Jocelyne Lowe

... this product a four star because I did not like the way this device works
I gave this product a four star because I did not like the way this device works. There are a bunch of spiralizers that use the same system. If you are serious about cooking I would not recommend this or any other spirulizers that look like this one (sand clock style) because:1) I really dislike the fact that you wont be able to spiralize the vegetable completely. Think of this system as a pencil sharpener. You wont be able to sharpen the whole pencil so you will be left with approx an inch of vegetable left.2) it is easy to cut your fingers(the small green lid holder is not very good at holding the end of the vegetable)

Amazing! Bonus items great too!
Only used this once so far but I love it. Used it on zucchini and summer squash. Only issues i had was that my summer squash was too wide to feed through, this caused the grip top to slip and wasnt a huge problem except for the few inches of wasted summer squash. Sauteed this in butter with onion, fennel and thyme. Very delicious with thick cut sage pork chops. The bonus ceramic paring knife and ceramic bladed peeler are also awesome! Easily the best peeler I've ever used. The ceramic paring knife allowed me to cut super straight clean matchsticks of the rest of my zucchini and summer squash.I love this thing!!Happy purchase.

Love the color and design
Love the color and design...the directions are easy to use and offer tips to help you. Very handy and easy to use and clean. With the free ceramic peeler and the cleaning brush proved to be useful. I love the caps that you can put on it to help keep it clean when not in use. although i have to warn you when slicing the veggies, the blades are very sharp so don't do like i did and try to shred your finger..ha ha. but after the first time using the slicer i had not problems with it.

I have a new found love for zucchini noodles
I have a new found love for zucchini noodles. They're perfect and this is great for them. The spiralizer was the best part. The rest was kind of not worth getting. The peeler did nothing for me. And the knife is kind of too small to use.

It works great for the first half of the vegetable then when ...
It does what has to do but if you expect to use the whole vegetable this is not the product. It works great for the first half of the vegetable then when it gets shorter and doesn't work anymore. The top that comes with it doesn't do much either.

I'm disappointed with how much of the vegetable (I used zucchini) ...
It works okay. I'm disappointed with how much of the vegetable (I used zucchini) goes to waste. At a certain point you can't screw anymore through the device, then you're left with what looks like a really fat stubby pencil.
