I had gone to a local store to buy a fitness machine which was to be delivered and set up at my home. Great.But then I found out I should probably have a mat under it to protect my floor.There was no where locally to get the right size of mat. Very happy to see that one could be gotten on Amazon and sent QUICKLY before the delivery took place.Very pleased with this mat. No unpleasant smell, and after unrolling it was able to get it flat in a short time.PERFECT under the machine, protecting the floor and ensuring no sliding or damage to my new vinly flooring.I think this ribbed mat is much preferable to thicker mats meant to go together like puzzle pieces.Definitely recommend this for putting under exercise equipment.

The product is suitable for protecting carpet under a weight bench. I have no complaints about the material, BUT:I ordered three of the same carpet protection Mats. I opened them immediately upon delivery and laid them out. They are supposed to be 78"X36". However, in my case one is 80 inches, one is 81 inches, and the third is 77 1/4 inches. For my purpose, I have them laid out side by side for a bench press and it just looks dumb all uneven like that.I called the company and asked if I could return the 77 1/4" one with a guarantee that the replacement would be at least 80 inches and they wouldn't even entertain me, referring me instead to Amazon. Amazon recommended I return one for replacement but could not guarantee the replacement would be at least 80 inches.Otherwise they suggested I return all three for replacement but could not guarantee the replacements would be the correct length. Ultimately, I received a small promotional discount to live with them.Cutting the two long ones down is out of the question because its a very durable material and the PIA factor is not worth it.

Bought this for use under exercise equipment to protect carpet from wear (moving equipment) and stains (sweat, equipment lubricants). So far, it looks very well suited for the purpose. "Fingers" on the bottom side help keep the mat from sliding on the carpet. It looks like a heavier version of the desk mats you use to keep your office chair from wearing a hole in the carpet!Long-term is unknown as of now - only had it about a week. May earn an extra star if it proves its durability over time.

I would not buy this or recommend it. Thin, rolled out mishaped crinkly on one side, doesn't stay flat or provide much protection, photos are misleading they show a matt finish the one I received is glossy. Also has a strong plastic oder .

I was hoping to find a mat that gave protection for the carpet and would be big enough for my elliptical. This feels durable and it isn't too thick. This mat is also slightly bigger than my machine but not in a bad way. It is perfect for what I needed and what I was looking for. It is easy to wipe off and run the vacuum over.

I ordered this mat to place under our Total Gym FIT. When unrolling the mat for the first time out of the box, it unrolled flat with no edges curling up. Awesome. This mat is well made and seems durable with a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, I had to return it as it is too short for our Total Gym FIT. Had this mat been the proper length I would've kept it.

I needed this to go under my elliptical machine that as off balance due to our carpet flooring. It came rolled up so it was a little difficult to put under my machine alone, so I had to have help, once my elliptical was settled on top of it, it works great. Not super thick, but does a great job and is sturdy so far.
