Extremely expensive for 'just ok'
This is a very expensive curl balm - at the time of writing this it's over £40 which is extortionate. I spent, if I recall, a bit under the £30 mark because my hair was in a funk and I was desperate for anything that would work - and even then I think I paid far too much! For context, I'm currently using a £7 curl cream which blows this out of the water. It's not terrible - I've used far worse - but it's also not amazing. The price point is far too high for 'just ok'. It does form a hard cast on hair (which is good for those who want a hard cast) but it is very hard to scrunch the hardness and crispiness out. I don't think it helped with bounce, contrary to the name, and it's very easy to overuse which leads to more lank and weighed down than bouncy. I noticed no real difference to frizz. But on a good day, it made hair look fine - not amazing, not wondrously curly and voluminous, just fine. However, at this (currently rising) price point I really can’t say it’s worth it when there are far better out there.
