Wonderful!
I ordered this bed along with the separate matching headboard for my first apartment at college last August. After having all of these pesky Twin XL sheets, bedding, mattress pad, memory foam pad, etc. I didn't want to buy a completely new bed and have to get all that aforementioned stuff in a different size as well. Considering I was going to be using this for my next 3 years, I wanted something that could last in a college kid guy environment with 2 other suite mates. This wasn't too much on the expensive side, but it also wasn't super cheap, but, if I needed it to last, why skimp? When this got delivered to my apartment, it came in several different packages that were all VERY large. Obviously you can't just order a bed and hope it comes completely assembled. I'll admit, it was a bit of a pain to assemble it all, considering it came as just all these pieces of wood, nails, washers, etc. Thankfully there were no pieces missing and even one or two extra screws and other small hardware. It only took me about 2-3 hours to completely assemble everything, including the headboard. I did need to get one of my roommates to help me stand some of the pieces of wood up to screw them in, and also to lay the pieces of plywood (that the bed lays on) into the metal runners (which took about 5 minutes because the plywood is so bendy and likes to come out of the runners if bumped). It is an incredible bed set and so far it has lasted one school year. Now for 3 more summers and 2 more school years. It is wood, so it can scratch easily but going to a mattress/furniture store, or even a hardware store and getting a wood marker to color in scratches saves face and keeps it aesthetically pleasing. Highly recommend this set to any age. You definitely get your money's worth!

Perfect Length for My 6'2" Son
My son was tired of his legs hanging over the bottom of his old bed. And he needed to tidy up his room. So I got him this. At first he balked at putting it together. Then I told him it was extra long for his body. He was intrigued so he put it together in about 30 minutes. The directions were easy. The hardest part is always the drawers. It sat a bit higher than his old bed so he loved that he could sit on it with his boxspring and mattress and his legs would dangle like he was a kid again. LOL. He's 23 so when he started to store his stinky VANS in one of the drawers I said - no, no. Put them in over the door shoe thing. And spray them with Lysol. So now he has all three of the drawers stuffed full of his hoodies and socks. Solved two problems in one. Now if he can just get off his gaming computer long enough to do his ASE certification courses.

Pretty satisfied
I just moved into a new apartment and the moving company lost my bed, so I decided to buy this one as a replacement. The bed is on slats that run vertically. The drawers are right underneath the slats, so you can see the slats and drawers if you remove the mattress. The bed comes with no headboard. I am currently 20 years old, 5'6", and around 100 pounds and this bed worked out for me really well. I don't feel like the bed isn't sturdy in the least bit. I don't climb on the drawers or jump on the bed. The drawers open and close nicely and they were able to hold various arts and crafts supplies and my pajamas. The drawers are not very deep, however, so when you place clothes inside, it's better to lay them horizontally instead of vertically. I like to fold my shirts vertically when I put them in drawers so I can see them easier, but I couldn't close the drawer when I attempted to place them that way. The drawers pull out the same distance as seen in the photo, and do not run the full length of the bed.My major complaint is the size. The frame was a bit too long. This frame states that it is an "XL" size, but my mattress is still a little too small. There are gaps where the mattress curves, so it would be easy to drop something on accident, it fall through the slats, behind the drawers, and be lost for good. I had to put a sheet down on top of the slats to avoid this and to hide the ugliness of the slats showing. The assembly was easy, but I would suggest adding furniture sliders to the bottom because after assembled, this bed is very hard to move because it becomes heavy and tugs on the carpet. My bedroom has very long low windows that have ledges. I was worried I wouldn't be able to push the bed flush against the wall, but its height was perfect and sits right below the little ledge. Overall, I think this was a good bed, especially a good "emergency" bed.
