Amazing Device, and what a price! (revised)
Amazing device! Got my BLU yesterday and there are very few drawbacks.1. I liked the ability to assign ringtones to callers. Can't do that YET, but a software update in the future could fix that.2. Cases for this device are limited (only found a few on Amazon no where else) I did though find that the Galaxy Note 3 case is CLOSE. I put a stitch in each of the corners and had a custom case that also functions as a wallet! (no more purse)3. Ok so it is NOT HD. Want HD get the 6. This is an intro device of this size as a phone. I found the picture very nice, and did note that the higher your internet speed the better the picture. (buffering may be the issue some are having)There are the cons I can think of based on other reviews. So Now it is Oct. 2015. I still get comments daily on my "phone" most cant believe it IS a phone. It is a bit bulky if for phone service only (unless you add a bluetooth device) But anyone who knows ME know I don't talk on the phone anyway.. I LOVE the display (do wish it was HD). I am still so pleased. The cost was a STEAL. I have clients of mine now come in my office with MY phone. And they love it as much as I do! Now to how it's working for me!! The set up could not have been easier. (I still haven't opened the book the device asks you all the important questions) I use T-Mobile as my carrier on a prepaid account. I put my 4G SIM and a 32mgb Micro SD in the BLU fired it up, went thru the initial set up questions where it DOES ask you to set your preferred language, time zone, so forth. Within 2 minutes I was up and running 4G (even says 4G on my display). I borrowed a coworkers ATT card to see if that would work, and same thing it instantly picked up what network it was on and so forth. I had saved my contacts to my SIM so moving those was easy enough. I have had a field day on Amazon apps as well as Google Play. Got all the usual apps: facebook, ebay, so forth. downloaded and installed amazingly fast. Changing ringtones is a blast and the preloaded ones are even nice. If you are an Android fan as I am you will kick yourself for NOT getting this amazing little device. I paid far more for my Galaxy and the BLU is faster and even easier to use. If you happen to be a Windows phone fan and are used to Windows 8.1 you will find this thing awesome. You IPhone people will kick yourself over how limited and restricted you have been. The price on the BLU may make you think it's a "cheap" device. I have to argue that. It is NOT a power tablet and isn't sold as such, it is however a phablet. A functional phone and tablet in once device. I have had no issue with call volume low. In fact at times I really have to turn mine down. It comes with a charger, headphones with inline mic (that also function as FM ant.. there's a RADIO built in!) and a screen protector. I think that was the most difficult part of my set up. I would suggest just take it to the mall and have one of those kiosk people install it or another one. I spent more time putting on my screen protector than set-up and installing all my apps combines! (maybe BLU could send it out with the screen protector installed). Did I mention? It almost seems this device is sold exclusively on Amazon.. Kindle fans listen up.. the Kindle app WORKS on this device. Yep a Phone with Kindle for about the same price as some lower end Kindles and this is NOT lower end. And very low weight. (seems lighter than my Kindle to me). I have sold 2 more of these devices today alone. Clients in my office saw mine today and went right on off to buy one themselves. Wish they were on the stock market (they're not, I looked) I would seriously keep an eye on them! Overall. I would say it's worth far more than the asking price. If you have "issues" with your current phone carrier for voice and data services, those may carry over. Can't really speak for that. What I can say is I bought this to give it a try and after 2 days I have retired my Galaxy that I have loved dearly for a couple years.*So, I have had this device almost a year. No; it is NOT HD but is has a huge display and it's not unpleasant to watch... works with FEW hickups (sometimes have to hit the restart) and sill happy with it. Only thing I now find as a problem IS the size. It's big.. VERY big hard to "talk" on, but otherwise great. This is NOT an IPad.. don't compare as much. I am only here tonight looking for a PHONE, this is a phablet. Wonderful device and very user friendly, except as a phone. Headphones could fix that I guess, but I don't like having to have a book at my ear as I talk. And not commited to a headset. Great device for the price and has done more than I expected. Gonna pass this one on to my nephew and size down!

It's an excellent phablet!
UPDATE: Ma 8th, 2015.Replaced the Finite Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Folio Case with BLU Studio 7.0 Case, LK [Kickstand Feature] [Perfect Fit] BLU Studio 7.0 Wallet Case, Luxury Wallet PU Leather Case Flip Cover Built-in Card Slots & Stand For BLU Studio 7.0, [Wallet Feature] PURPLE Fits perfectly! All openings align! No more microphone obstruction like with the previous case designed for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.Also, I've lowered it to four stars because this phablet cannot maintain good Wi-Fi connection for long browsing sessions comparing to the cheap Dragon Touch 7.0 phablets that were cheaper than this Blu Studio 7.0.UPDATE: February 24th, 2015.Many users ask about cases for these phablets. Since model is fairly good: Fintie Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 Folio Case - Slim Fit Premium Vegan Leather Cover for Samsung Tab 4 7-Inch Tablet, Black There are 23 options of various colors and patterns. The materials is very nice to the touch! And in terms of the size, BLU Studio 7.0 will sit almost tight inside. It does not obstruct the speaker and the microphone and has a holder for a stylus!ORIGINAL review:Ordered the white version via Amazon, but it was sold and shipped by BREED from Florida. I've purchased from BREED before, so I was somewhat confident. Amazon was out of stock at that moment. It looks like these are flying off the shelf!Have received 2-3 days sooner than expected. The white version is not pure or arctic white. It is more of pearl white, so off-white. The charger that was included was 2A for those who are wondering about technical details. Also, it looks like it is taking widescreen photos, which is important since there are widescreen TVs and computer screens everywhere and it is weird to see that many cell phones are still coming with 4:3 ratio photo feature. However, this model does not take pure 16:9 photos, they are more like 16:9.5 ratio if you will recalculate from pixels. Strange, but not a big deal. For those who are wondering about the memory card compatibility. I've purchased SanDisk 64GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card (model SDSDQUI-064G-A46 with an SD adapter, 48Mb/s rated, 10-year warranty) and put it in without pre-formatting by a computer. So far, so good. It's working. The card was sold and shipped by Adorama. I trust them because they are listed on SanDisk's web-site as an authorized reseller. Also tried to pair up a Gioteck EX-01 Gioteck EX-01 Bluetooth Headset for PS3 Bluetooth over-the-ear headset and it worked.I've also paired up a Bluetooth Targus mouse Targus Bluetooth Comfort Laser Mouse AMB09US (Black with Gray) and it worked! Weird, but it worked. I've tested with "Plants vs. Zombies" and the mouse has worked.Good news for those who use the default calendar: now you can set a recurring event that happens every other week. I know that this feature is not hardware based, but is dependent from the Android version. However, I wanted to emphasize for those who don't have time diggin through technical descriptions of various Android iterations.Despite 171 ppi, the screen looks awesome. I am not seeing pixels. In fact, it is comfortable to watch Netflix for two people. However, keep in mind, that one out of four sides of the screen does not have a good viewing angle, so rotate it 180 degrees if this is the case. Some people complain about the sticker that is usually placed on the screen. Well, since I've purchased four other Blu phones before, I was kind of prepared to this problem. However, this model has not come with a factory pre-applied screen protector, so there is not reason to worry that by removing the sticker you will accidentally remove the screen protector. The loudness of the sound is more than adequate.

Amazon is very good at refunding
Worth the price, but it did not work with my WindMobile, although there are some people say BLU other phones work on Wind mobile in the reviews. It always on Wind away with only half bars when my old phone shows full bars on Wind.I have to return it. Feel very pity. Amazon is very good at refunding, very satisfied with Amazon.

this would be a fine device.
I didn't realise this phone was so big! It's kind of ungainly, but it will do. My biggest complaint is that there are huge issues with the screen. Certain parts of it are totally unresponsive to touch and as such you can't get things to work. That is extremely frustrating, making it impossible to use the phone as I want to. But for that unfortunate problem, this would be a fine device.

it is not bad.
This a crossover between a phone and a tablet. As a single device answer, it is not bad.
