Definite learning curve, but ultimately successful
Preparation is easy. Only con is having to use a mixer, and even then just because of the potential for mess. I went through 4 bags of this with 250 worms and never had a problem. Grating is not easy if it warms up even a little, which can make the process kind of gross, but you get over it pretty quick. With the bigger worms, I just started cutting up chunks of it and they didn't mind at all. Be careful not to grate too much on the little ones. I accidentally suffocated some of mine.

Good product, came damaged, was refunded
Bag came damaged and was placed inside of another bag to which a bunch of the powder from original bag ended up on the outer layer making it a mess to open and deal with… but I was offered a full refund and got to keep the item. Holds well for molds, here is a picture of finished product. I will rate 5 stars for the quality of the product. But the delivery was very poor but it was made right with a refund. Was easy to make and store. The hornworms love it. And my bearded dragons will love the hornworms as well.

Easy to use
I let it set in various silicone molds I had around and made it much easier to store some wrapped tightly in separate portions to ensure fresher food for the babies.

Silkworms loved this
I realized after opening the package that I don’t have a microwave safe container big enough for mixing this all at once. Would be cool if you could prepare half the amount in this bag - a resealable container or just breaking this up into two packets would be ideal. The silkworms seemed to devour it though.

Great replacement
I got some silkworms as a gift to show my preschoolers but unfortunately I don't know where to get mulberry leaves so I bought this as a replacement. It worked wonderfully and the silkworms have gotten bigger. The smell of the product when I cooked it mostly smelled like real green tea leaves so it didn't bother me so much. I reused our ladybug land so the kids could see the worms much better.

How I made it for the first time in a cup
For the mathematically challenged, like myself, 8 oz is 1 cup. You're buying 1 cup of powder.First I used a zip tie to attach plastic mesh to the bottom cup and used a clip to hold the ends together so there was space between the cup walls and mesh while it dried. I'm dumb and forgot to block the holes in cup with hot glue or something and it made a mess. 🤦🏻♀️ don't be like me. If you are like me, tape some paper towel over the holes.Ratio of 1/4 cup powder to 1 cup boiling water and a drizzle of agave (I didn't have any honey), mixed with one of those electric coffee mixer wand thingies. I mixed for about 2 minutes when it started to thicken and had no clumps. I microwaved it for 30 seconds, mixed again just to break up the hardening top layer and poured it into the cup and stuck it in the fridge.I've never done this before. It's still in the fridge but I came to share what I did because I didn't see any "how to make" this in a cup. The package says to mix the ENTIRE package with 3 cups hot water and microwave. I didn't need that much made so I calculated 8oz to 3 cups. That's 1 cup powder to 3 cups water. So! 1/4 cup to 3/4 cups water, however, I rounded up to 1 cup because I'm lazy. Seems fine and I think any less would have hardened too fast for it to dissolve and cook.... Like oatmeal. Hope that helps someone. Good luck!
