This thing is awesome. It's made of lycra, so you could ball the thing up and stuff it completely inside an old 35mm film cansiter with room to spare which makes it easy to keep anywhere. I have one of those weird useless pockets on the upper arm of my winter coat that this thing tucks into neatly. I've used it twice so far in conditions where the ambient temperature wasn't too cold, but a strong wind was cutting through my hoodie and making my neck and ears cold. It's amazing how such a small amount of material in the right configuration can make you so much more comfortable.It goes on easy and stretches to fit completely over your head and around your neck like a scarf, or you can stick your whole face through the eye hole if you're cold but not currently performing ninja tasks. It fits easily under my other hats or inside the hood of a sweatshirt or coat. I bought a couple more to stick in my glove boxes. I also feel like I need to mention that while this is a product that I would normally expect to have a somewhat rubbery smell to it when it comes out of the plastic, none of the ones I've purchased have any odor at all.

I bought this item to keep my cool from a sunburning outside while at work. I put it on as soon as I got it and loved how cool it kept me, and I loved how many people commented on how cool I looked. It also doubles as a face covering which allows me to breath a little bit better and easier on my ears by not creating pull like a mask would.

This mask has many many uses as stated above to said product, I bought it however for wearing it to keep the heat and moisture away when suiting in a fursuit. The same applications can be applied when wearing other things that will cover the head completely providing ample breath ability in the use. I have also used this as a "Bandana" while working out and on jogging runs, if you heavily sweat this will need to be cleaned after each use but I don't sweat that much so once or twice before needing to clean it (Before it has an odor)

Relatively thin, basic, but still strong enough to keep your face (luke)warm and at least painless around 5-10 degrees, when coupled with a hoodie. Also works fine solo, when it's warmer (~20 degrees) when I wear it without the hooded jacket.Retains it's shape and elasticity fine after cold-water washes.Anything below 5 degrees or so, you'd need a thicker one.

We have two and three more on their way. Perfect for skiing, snow activities - fits under helmets, keeps face and neck warm and can be pulled down. They dry fast. We’ve worn them in 10 degree weather, colder than that you might want a warmer fabric. Fit my kids about 10+ and adults.

This is essentially a thin piece of polyester, nylon or whatever synthetic fabric it is, and it's not very warm. You might as well just wear a hat with a liner. It doesn't do much to block cold wind on your face, and any hat you wear on top of it slides off easily. I won't be buying another one.

Would purchase again. Good medium grade balaclava. I use for when there is a mild to strong winter breeze. I would purchase again.
