Nice looking upgrade
Took a couple of hours, going slowly, to get this finished. Each section has to be prepared and positioned in its proper place. Was easier than I expected, just had to work carefully. So far, holding up nicely. Very pleased with how this turned out!

Love This Pattern! This is the best looking guitar I've ever owned.
I bought my Chinese Takamine in a pawn store and paid an immorally low price for it. I bought it for two reasons. 1. I liked the look of an all black acoustic guitar and 2. I'm learning to do a lot of tech work on guitars such as set-ups, dressing in frets and such. So, I figured I'd give this ax my best effort without having to worry about ruining a "good" guitar. Amazingly, I did everything right and now, I've got one of the best playing acoustics I've ever owned! But also, I couldn't get over how good looking the guitar was ... after, of course, I took off all the stupid hot rod, skull and gothic decals the previous owner had put on - one of the biggest reasons the pawn shop sold the guitar so cheap, I'm sure. It was just ugly! I used a hair dryer to heat the vinyl and "Goof-Off" to remove the sticky residue and then buffed the black to a beautiful gloss. But I've always dreamed of having a beautiful Tree-of-Life design inlayed in a guitar neck. I can't afford that and besides, this is only a cheap Chinese guitar anyway. I had seen the TOL decals online and figured, "What the heck? How wrong could I go?"It turns out that these inlay stickers were just exactly what I wanted. Now, if I'm not playing the guitar, I'm admiring it from a nice viewing distance. I can't feel the stickers and so, they do not effect playing at all. They only look like stickers if you get right up and really, really close - like within 6 inches. But from there back all the way to across the room, they look like something you would see on a $10,000 custom guitar. My friends have all noticed how good they look too. They walk into where we are rehearsing and the look of this guitar is so striking that they stop dead in their tracks and ask about the inlays.Oh yea, I've got all sorts of plans for other inlay stickers on my other guitars.

Mehhhhh......
These stickers really don't look very special. They look super fake. Maybe it's because they're on a maple neck. Either way, even from 15 ft away they look like stickers. Also when I bend strings, a common technique, my finger catches the edge of the stickers and they're pealing away after a week of play. I made sure to put them on correctly. On a dry and clean fretboard, and used lots of pressure to make sure they stuck. They actually put on quite easily. I have the roses and vine version of these stickers, and those look totally great! I'm just disappointed in how the tree of life one looks. Also, the 12th fret sticker didn't cover the pre existing two dot inlays without being so far left on the fretboard that the sticker went over the edge. I had to cut off the extra hangoff with a box knife. I have a mim tele. Maybe they weren't made for that type of guitar.

They're so cool, and last.
They make your guitar look legendary and I've had mine quite awhile with 0 issues. I know one guy gave it a one star because he put lemon oil on it, but that isn't the stickers fault. I haven't had any peeling, and they make my guitar feel closer to my soul. I just wonder if they will fit on a slanted neck, like the next guitar I ordered.

I have to admit I was pretty skeptical of putting "stickers" on the neck of my Breedlove Sunlight guitar. This is a guitar that is quite striking in its simplicity. However, I wanted to add a little interest to the neck after owning it for a while. The directions could have been more clear. I ended up finding the stickers on YouTube. Followed those and was surprisingly pleased w/ the outcome. It looks very nice on my guitar. When I'm playing I cannot feel them at all. I play the guitar a lot and so far they are showing no wear or pealing. Very nice product.

Combined with decals for bass guitar and adapted to regular electric guitar
Purchased these inlay stickers for my daughter's hand-me-down electric guitar to make it feel more like "her's". We adapted the pattern as needed from the bass guitar layout. Easy application. We purchased fret board decals as well. She loosened the strings enough to pull them aside and apply the inlay stickers, then tightened and re-tuned the guitar. Looks fantastic! She loves it! It's not supposed to peel or leave residual. Hopefully that will be the case. I'll try to post an update if we find out it isn't!
