I like this bowl. It's a good size for an 8lb cat. The fact he has to go around the nubs to eat really slows him down. He would eat his special diet very quickly and then try to steal food from his brother and sisters bowl, which will make him sick, so I made this purchase.This bowl helps slow him down so he finishes his breakfast at about the same time as his furry siblings. My siamese is a real demon... you ever see those videos of the sphynx cats aggressively chomping huge bites of their meals? My boy is like that. Which is why this bowl also poses a few concerns... it is incredibly thin and flimsy. Several of the nubs have holes through them or are ripped due to him accidentally chomping them, and I'm sure this will have to be replaced within the same year of purchase. We monitor him while he eats to make sure he doesn't accidentally eat one of the nubs, which is a terrifying risk.I would much rather this bowl have solid hearty filled nubs and be heavier than flimsy and dangerous.TLDR: Overall, its a good size and works. Its easy to clean. I love the pink color. But it lacks any sort of durability, is incredibly flimsy, and potentially dangerous. This bowl was not made to last.

I can’t really review this item fully because I’m returning it before even taking it out of the plastic. My rescue kitty is a food hog so I’m trying to slow him down a bit. The number one reason this won’t work is because the whole thing, including the raised nubs is made of soft, flexible rubber. Well what do you think a dog or cat who is frantic about food will do to little soft rubber nubs that stand in the way of their food? I didn’t read any reviews mentioning this which surprises me. I just know for a fact that my guy will chew (and maybe eat) the nubs so it will be demolished in short order! My other observations, neither good or bad, are that the nubs may be spaced too far apart for a cat. I can see their little faces pushed in between & the nubs bending so the food would be easily retrieved.

Bought this product for my cat (aged 5) as she eats her food way too fast and throws up. My poor girl struggled way too hard from this! It also ended up giving her cat acne from the constant rubbing of the popsicles against her face. Once we stopped using the bowl, it finally started to clear up. It even gave her some scabbing and bleeding over the acne due to how hard she was trying to get her food. I highly do not recommend- I’m sure the same thing is bound to happen with dogs as well. Even though my cat does eat too fast, this is not the way... way to hard for them to get the food. She ended up just pawing a bunch on the ground and then eating it.. so the bowl ended up being useless. The color, thickness, and way it appears to be designed was exactly how described.

I have a small 7 pounds dog that eats way too fast and I needed a slow feeder. Everything that I found was way too big for my dog that eats just about 2 ounces of food. Even so, I thought this product was actually going to be a little too big but turns out its the perfect size for my dog and the amount of food that can easily be spread out. I thought this plate was harder plastic but turned out it is soft silicone that makes the cleaning way too easy. I totally trecommend this product!

I bought this for my two month old kitten. She's barely got any teeth and she ripped through this like it was, well paper. Part of it is missing. I'm glad she didn't choke on it. Having to watch to see if it "passes" through her system and into her waster. Pleasant? No! Necessary? I don't know. What I do know is that she has part of a feeder in her gut and I'm not pleased. Don't buy! Waste of money and danger to your pet!

This anti choke slow feeder would definitely work well when used appropriately. I DIDN'T. I bought it for my cat because she was puking all over the place. Changed her food several times, nothing worked. So I bought the slow feeder. To say the result was disappointing is an understatement. Not because the bowl was ineffective. I was at fault for not using it as it should be. Gave it to my dog instead, worked great. Well DUH on me.

I previously purchased a bowl like this that was a hard ceramic and my cat wouldn’t go near it. I don’t blame her because it seemed like it would be painful to navigate. This feeder is so much better! I no longer fear that she’ll bruise her nose or mouth or hurt her teeth. She’s still forced to eat slow though and therefore has not thrown up her food. Great product & great price

i bought the same design a few years ago from a different seller and that was much thicker and sturdier.thought this would be the same but its so floppy and thin, my cat could chew right through itcant really recommend it, you could probably rip it by pulling it a little too hard
