Hayes 81725 Syncronizer Brake Control

The one I received was used with the mounting bracket bent and scuffed with the supposed quick connect cut off the controller itself. One of the mounting holes was also stripped out. I like the overall build quality, which is the only reason I'm not sending it back.

I bought this to replace the brake controller on my 2000 Tundra SR5. It works perfectly. I had the same controller before but the slide handle broke after 8 years of use. The 2000 Tundra doesn't have a wiring harness so I had to cut off the wiring harness and splice the wires in one at a time, matching the wire colors with the previously installed wires. I'm satisfied with my purchase. It operates properly and is reliable. I would recommend this product.

Simple to install works as intended, all though I would not recommend for continuous use, it is not "heavy duty" and does get warm with use, I used it to tow a 20' twin axel trailer 500 miles and could smell the controller getting hot. I believe it is good for lighter use and would be fine for the average residential user

Bought this to help when pulling our trailer. It is easy set up and works great.

I damaged my first unit, it fell and dragged on the ground. Bought this one to be an exact replacement. It is exactly the same and fits and works the same. Had the first one for 5 years so this one should also last at least that long. Adjustment is easy and great. It is progressive so the longer you hold down the brake the more power is supplied to the brakes, which increases the braking force on the trailer.I'm a happy camper.
