beautiful
I use this pan for boiling maple sap into syrup, which I realize is a very "off-label" use. Because of this, it will probably rust a little prematurely on me (it actually had already started just a little by the end of my first season). But steel wool should help that. I used it all last season and it was great. It's awesomely huge and well made (but not unreasonably heavy) and is the perfect size for boiling syrup over a propane stove. Best part is that it's stainless steel (not aluminum) which is what you want for boiling sap. It's large enough that the area that comes in contact with the flame is always covered with sap/liquid so that the metal does not overheat (this is the whole reason I bought this size), and shallow enough that the liquid evaporates very quickly (but not TOO shallow -- the sides are still tall enough to hold a few gallons at once, and once it boils down it is pretty easy to pour into a pot for finishing at the end).A great pan, and not just for paella!! :)

Muuuy buena !!!

This was a huge pan. So big I ended ...
This was a huge pan. So big I ended up buying a smaller one which is just the right size for my family. The bigger one I decided to keep and take it to work and make paella with my culinary students. Haven't used it yet. Plan on making the dish for our Christmas dinner. So I'll be posting after I use it.

Five Stars
Worked great. Used for family reunion and fed 32 people.Update: We have used several times over past few years. Works great to feed large gatherings. You will need a fairly large fire or cooking surface to reach the outside of the pan. We got a 14" or so burner - not big enough. We have done over fire with grate and it works better for overall cooking - but you have to keep an eye on it so as not to have hot spots for burning. We plan on trying charcoal at our next beach event.

great pan for use on open fire.
We make paella at the beach over a wood fire and have fed up to 30 people. love the pan. get some big long handled paddles to stir with if you use a wood fire. we found wood paddles at a restaurant supply place that were probably for kettle corn and they work great. the red enamel paint discolors from the heat of the fire but that can't be avoided I don't think.

Melts and cheep quality pan. Do not buy
The pan literally started to melt on low to medium heat while I was cooking expensive seafood. Save yours self from ruining a meal and DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. the pan started loosing form and bowed and melting first time using it. I'm very disappointed and waiting to get my return because it wasn't a cheap product. Also waisted my money on the stand and cook top made special for This pan!!!!

Gorgeous pan
Used it for a big back yard party. It was a bit large for the grill we wanted to cook it on, but we improvised and it was a beautiful display. I thought we made way too much food but the pan displayed it so nice that all kept coming back for more. I will be in the market for a smaller size for smaller parties!
