Petmate Kitty Kaps Pet Food Can Topper (Colors May Vary)

My senior kitty only eats 1/2 a little can at a time and I was sick of using cling wrap to cover the can. Then I remembered that they make lids to fit cans so found these. They work, weren't overpriced and you could buy them individually, instead of being forced to buy multiple, as so many sellers on here do when it's a cheap item. Fit's tightly on the can so keeps food from drying out and smell in.

I like that the plastic is sturdy. No way it’s going to crack. It fits multiple size cat food cans but it’s better on the small kitten food. Don’t use for the tall dog food cans as it doesn’t fit or pops off in the fridge.

This lid forms a tight seal, keeps the food fresh. It has several grooves and is advertised to fit several different sized cat food cans. It fits my cans very well. I gave it a "4" on easy to clean because if cat food gets into one of the lid grooves it's not so easy to get out. This is not a criticism. All cat food plastic lids are this way, and it's unavoidable. Just be prepared to clean the lid grooves if food gets inside. An old toothbrush works very well for this purpose, and I keep one next to the kitchen sink for that purpose. Also, this product is not exactly inexpensive. Still, it's worth it.

This cover fits very tightly but you'll need to use a brush of some kind to clean it as the cat food gets trapped in the grooves, creating bacteria. Aside from that, it works perfectly.

I thought these type of can top was difficult to can off the dog or cat food can. I like the more flexible rubber

This pet food cover fits perfectly over the smaller single-serving diameter cans as well as the regular sized cans. The lid fits very tight; very, very tight. The cover is made of stiff plastic and is not very flexible. The cat face pointed “ear” design combined with the stiff plastic material makes it very difficult to remove the cover once it is on the can. I have arthritis in my hands so for me removing the cover is very painful, especially with the pointy ears stabbing my hands. The cover works well since it fits tight. It’s just very difficult for me to remove once it’s on the can. If they made it out of a little more flexible plastic and got rid of the pointy ear design that stabs my hands, maybe I’d recommend it for everyone. If you have dexterity issues in your hands, then this is not the pet food cover for you.

I've used this brand for years! They work on small cans for the cat, large cans for the puppy food as well. It stays on with a snap and keeps their food fresh. They wash in a snap and keep their shape regardless of the can size.
