Cognitive Neuroscience: The Biology of the Mind

I bought this because I had to (required for class). I really enjoyed it. They made it very engaging and easy-to-read.

Another book for school...I always sit back gripping the seat when I have to see how much another book is going to cost. This was low-priced and BRAND NEW! This will be my first-to-go place to look for the next books! Thank you for not price gouging! Shipping was prompt and well appreciated.

The authors have a knack for explaining things. I do not have a neuroscience or much of a cognitive science background but was able to grasp the material without issues. A stimulating and readable treatment of the subject matter.

Exactly what I wanted

Arrived without any problems, book has great colors and thick pages. I especially like the feel of the hardcover. The book is great, I use it for my first neuroscience class. It's full of useful information and helpful extras. It's a great book, but not a magical book - ultimately, you still have to study for the exams. :D

This is a joy to read.

I'm too old to be an undergrad, but also too old to have had this type of course when I was an undergrad. Therefore, I audited the course using this textbook to catch up on this subject matter. I really liked to text. The instructor said it wasn't his favorite, but it was decent enough. Not the highest praise, but then he knows his own preferences. Personally, I was pleased that the material was not written in hard science language if you know what I mean. But what I particularly liked is that the authors seemed to make a strong effort to emphasize research accomplishments by female scientists/researchers. I know this because they nearly always gave first names when noting discoveries. This is not the normal way of writing so I believe it was purposeful to give credit to females and make the material more relevant for female students. I'm not female, but I have daughters one of whom earned her biology degree so it's something I too appreciate seeing. It's made me more cognizant of doing the same in my writings.

This book has all the pages, though many are dog-eared. The binder is split and will need to be repaired. I'd not classify that is "good" condition. I did expect some wear and tear, but a split binder and bashed corners is not what I expected for the price paid.
