Beautiful and functional
I actually own three of these fans: the mini, the Sr., and the Sr. Pedestal. All of them are in the off-white color, and they're all great!I have the mini in my office at work, on my desk. It's a little noisy for a *small* room, but not overly so; no one can hear it in the background on my Zoom calls. It's very powerful for the size, though, and works so much better than other desktop fans--especially the USB ones. I have the Sr. in my guest bedroom at home, and it works perfectly for summertime. It circulates the air well for a medium-sized room. Finally, I have the Sr. Pedestal in my living room/kitchen area. With the pedestal fan, I don't need to run my PTAC machine except during heatwaves. It was lighter weight than expected, but not cheap-feeling at all; it was very easy to assemble. It's hard to find a fault with these fans, to be honest. They're all very attractive-looking and all work exceptionally well to circulate air! They're all fairly quiet for a mid- or large-sized room, and they're all very well-built. I have left them running for days (weeks!) at a time before without issue. Even though they're significantly more expensive than the "regular", plastic Vornado circulators, I prefer these because they're so much sturdier. They really feel like investment pieces that will last me a long time.If I had to nit-pick, I'd say that I wish the cords on these were a lighter color instead of black, since the fans, themselves are white. However, that seems like a small thing for a fan I otherwise really enjoy.

Perfect for a nightstand & small room.
I LOVE the Vornado brand because they consistently deliver a high quality fan and this lil one is perfect! The low level is quiet and powerful especially considering the size. It’s solid and built very well. The design is so cool and understated that it won’t distract from whatever your personal style might be.I seriously don’t understand why people complain about the color?! The color is exactly spot on and it’s gorgeous. It is not a crisp blue bright white, it is “vintage” white which is basically a light cream color. Stop leaving bad reviews because you don’t know your whites. Also, for those who have issues with the on off dial on the back… really?! *sighThis lil guy is perfect and in the heat of summer the second setting will be more than enough to cool a big-small room. The price Is great considering it’s metal and not plastic. This baby is built to last many years.I read the reviews before buying and I really didn’t need to consider purchasing this as much as I did. It’s a solid, great brand, delivers the air flow & the style is perfect. If you need a remote and want to talk to your fan then this one is obviously not for you.

Form meets Function in a Powerful and Beautiful Air Mover
We live in a 1950's ranch house in Northern California. We don't have air conditioning, and there are only about 3-4 times a year when it gets too hot for comfort. Rather than install central air, we have decided to invest in some decent fans. The last fan we purchased was the Rowenta stand fan. It's whisper quiet so we use it in the bedroom. We are pretty happy with it but it doesn't move a lot of air. Once the house heats up during the day, even after it gets cooler outside, the fan can't easily pull the air into the house and it takes hours to cool down the house, even when it's cooled down outside. This Vornado is a floor fan, aka "air circulator." After we purchased it, we used it in a living room about 20' by 14'. It's ability to move air is impressive on high speed. On a particularly hot night, we moved it to the bedroom to use with the Rowenta. Using these together really cooled the room quickly. This fan can push a lot of air and the Rowenta was tall enough to pull in air from the window. In the living room we have sliding doors, so the floor fan works fine.NOISE LEVELS: The fan is powerful on high speed, and you can hear it. It sounds kinda nice but is not "whisper quiet" on the high power setting. On the lowest setting it's very quiet...I had to turn the light on to see if it was turned on one night. You can adjust as needed...blast it to get the bedroom air moving for awhile, and then lower for sleep if you don't like white noise.FUNCTION: This thing is powerful...it moves air. Three easy settings...high, med., low. Very high quality, all metal construction (except fan blades...which are plastic for better engineering).FORM: The retro styling and the green color with gold accents is really gorgeous. This is something that you are happy to have sit in the room all summer...it's a beautiful little object. Great retro styling with safe electrical and grate openings (the vintage ones were much too wide for safety) But, be warned, you will be spoiled and will never want a white plastic fan again.SIZE MATTERS: I wasn't sure if I should go with the regular size or the "Sr" size. I didn't want it to be too big in the space. But since we were staring down a heatwave and I wanted to see it at its most powerful, I went for the largest size. So glad I did. It's really not large at all, but even a small increase in diameter greatly impacts air movement. Unless you want to put this on a table, go for the large size.WOULD I BUY AGAIN? I loved this fan so much I bought a second one a week later. Considering a third one.

QUIET and EFFICIENT
I bought a retro fan at a local home store, thinking I was saving money. But it started to rattle within days so it was no bargain. I took it back.I bought this fan which was twice as expensive and about 100 times better. It's not just old-fashioned looking, it's built like an old fan, meaning it's heavy, sturdy and will last for years. It's even got a 5-year warranty.Of course this fan is beautifully retro--like finding a vintage fan that actually works. But more than that, this fan is POWERFUL *and* QUIET!On high, yes, you can hear it--it's moving a lot of air. But on low speed for overnight, where you want a soft breeze in the bedroom, it's virtually silent.I love this fan so much I plan to buy another!

This fan is a beauty.
I love items that are visually appealing as well as functional and my Vornado VFAN Vintage certainly provides both. Yeah it’s more expensive than some fans, but you get what you pay for and this little baby is built like a tank. Well made, gorgeous and it runs like a charm. I use it every night even in the winter to circulate the air in my bedroom as well as to provide sleep inducing white noise. I’m very glad I splurged on a Vornado.

Absolutely perfect
Quite, powerful and a real conversational piece. Better than the best and better than the rest, of all fans. Purchased May 2021 set the Fan to low and turn it on & off with a Smart Plug when needed which is often because I run a little Hot. :)

THE quietest air circulator, but about half the power/airflow of the 660 or Vintage VFAN Sr.
ONE YEAR LATER: still in love with every single unit we have purchased. Still running essentially silently, and been operating almost daily for a full year. We now have multiple versions, in all we have purchased 5 Vornado products, absolutely no regrets.I originally purchased the Vornado 660 room circulator as it is less costly; I love it, so much so that I sent one to my parents, who also love it...but I could not get this one out of my mind. When I went to order yet another, the 660 was out of stock, so I decided to bite the bullet, pay the extra, and ordered this beauty.OF NOTE: I mistakenly ordered the "medium" version; there is a Jr. that is smaller and a Sr. that is larger; this "medium" one is just called "Vintage", so a bit confusing.I have absolutely fallen in love with the Vintage line for its looks, versatility and metal construction; so much so that I immediately sent this medium sized air circulator to my parents for their bedroom! They were carting the 660 from the living room to the bedroom where they had to use a book to prop up the 660 so it would blow "down" from their dresser. One advantage of the Vintage VFAN line is that the fan housing fully rotates from pointing straight down to straight up; the 660 only goes from straight ahead to a steep upward angle and does not offer the flexibility that this one does. Please keep in mind, this is not a fan in the regular sense; it is a room air circulator - it creates a gentle breeze throughout the room, not unlike a ceiling fan, and is the absolute perfect solution if a quality ceiling fan is not an option. IF you want a fan that throws a heavy stream of air at you, then you want a fan, not an air circulator. If you want a fan that will cool the room, with a constant gentle breeze, you have found the right unit.SOUND: on high it is literally whisper quiet; we did not even have to adjust the TV volume and it sits between us and the TV. On low or med it is utterly silent. Plus the "noise" is constant and steady, with no ebbs and flows, ups or downs; squeaks, squeals or rattles. IF you are seeking a white noise machine, or want it in the bedroom to mask noise, this is NOT the fan for you.AIRFLOW: suitable for a 200 sq ft room or a 10x20 foot room, and is listed at a CFM (cubic feet per minute) of 295. That is the equivalent of taking a cube that measures 6.5 feet high, 6.5 feet long and 6.5 feet wide and pushing it through this fan, every single minute.SIZE: The unit stands about 14 inches high, 8 inches deep, and 12 inches wide. The grill area is about 8 inches. The Vintage VFAN is rated at a lower CFM (295 vs 584) than the 660; and is technically not quieter (57 vs 54 decibels on high). In actuality I find it MUCH quieter, so much so that when they are placed 20 feet apart, I can still hear the 660, when beside the Vintage SR (both on high) but when I move just five feet closer to the 660, I can no longer hear the Vintage. As to air flow, the 660 moves more air - but the next size up, the Vintage Sr. moves more than the 660 (613 vs 584).COLOR: The green is slightly deeper than is pictured, less of a mint cast, perhaps a nod to avocado, but definitely not nearly as "deep" or yellow a green as avocado.DIFFERENCES: The 660 is made of plastic (albeit very sturdy plastic), and does not fully rotate; it is also much more economical (although still very pricey), very quiet, has four (soft touch, 1cm buttons) speed settings on the rim and moves twice the air of the medium in the Vintage line, on high. It comes in multiple sizes: 460, 560 and 660.The Vintage VFAN Line is all metal construction (excluding the blades), fully rotates from face down on the floor to face up to the ceiling; it is quite pricey, super quiet (Sr. 53db, VFAN 57db, Jr. 44db vs 660 at 54 db) and has a mechanical twist knob on the rear that offers two (Jr.) or three (VFAN or Sr.) speeds. The Sr. is technically quieter than the 660, and has a higher CFM at 613; the Jr. has a top CFM of 185.Now as to looks, I am in love with the vintage look and do prefer it to the 660. In hindsight, I accidentally ordered the medium size, and not the Sr., my bad. So no, it will not push more air than the 660, even though it is around the same cost as the 660. I WILL attest that it is quieter than 660, although that IS contrary to the manufacturers specifications. Is it pricey, heck yes! Is it lovely to look at, quiet to operate and moves a whack of air, 100%, YES. If you are seeking a silent unit that will create a gentle breeze, cooling an entire room, that is incredibly efficient and beautiful, I highly recommend this unit (and the 660 for that matter), but you have to understand you are paying a high price for high quality.

Sold on UK Amazon with no warning that it's 110V only?
Pretty disgusted that this is 110V only with absolutely nothing in the product description to suggest this.
