I don't taste the Sencha... It taste more like black tea to me. And on the sencha with jasmine, I didn't smell the jasmine or taste it. I actually poured this cup out because it didn't taste good at all. I like Rishi Sencha the best.

It is said to heat water to 170 degrees Fahrenheit for best tasting tea. We have used this method upon receiving this tea and we are very pleased with the quality of the tea as well as flavor. We've tried many green teas, but this has been the best so far. I will likely stick with this tea unless they change their quality.

Poor quality sencha, the tea leaves looked withered. The taste is very weak. I wanted to return it but amazon says the item is not eligible for return.
