The problem:I’ve HATED my old yellow laminate countertops ever since we first moved in. In the kitchen, tried the Giani paint kit first, but the paint chipped pretty easily and it was hard to patch effectively. Stripped it after a couple of years and tried covering with straight chalkboard paint (easier to patch up, plus chalkboard fun!) but still a PITA to maintain. Needed a semi-permanent cover up solution that wasn’t super expensive but was more resilient than paint.The solution:As a test, I tried a different, cheaper brand of contact paper for one of my bathroom counters... it was a bit brittle to work with but looked ok. Someone in the reviews suggested DC fix and I bought two rolls for my other bathroom.. I gotta say, it’s noticeably better quality and easier to work with!I ended up redoing the first bathroom and my entire kitchen using this blue/grey pattern.. took about 4-5 rolls. The granite pattern is super forgiving to seams, and I got better working with it over time. Many people suggest using a credit card as a smoothing tool. I tried both that and the felt-tipped tool in one of the multi packs, and highly recommend the felt tool if you’re going to tackle a big area. Fewer risks of scratching.TLDR: Economical and classy upgrade. 100% recommend over countertop paint!

IT LOOKS LIKE REAL STONE, INSTALLS EASY, AND ADHESIVE IS EXTREMELY STICKY (SO BE CAREFUL AND MEASURE FIRST). I USED A BLADE TO CUT AROUND THE CORNERS AND I DID NOT USE ONE FULL PIECE FROM THE TOP BACK DOWN TO THE COUNTER TOP. I USED SEPARATE PIECES. IF YOU HAVE A BIG AREA YOU ARE COVERING, BE SURE TO BUT MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED. THE ROLLS GET USED UP PRETTY QUICKLY.

I didn’t take any photos but this contact paper is amazing! I only needed 2 rolls for my 2 long kitchen counter tops and a small counter area & I still have some left. The pattern is very forgiving so areas that needed cut differently or covered with smaller patches blended very nicely! This was my first time using and it was quite time consuming but the final look was so worth it! I’m going to be doing my cabinets next and my bathroom sink! I definitely recommend.

Wish the rolls were wider, as I had to have more seams then I would've preferred. Went on fairly easy. Makes our counters look much better. Be careful when you are getting the bubbles out, as I scratched a few spots pressing too hard.

Used this for kitchen countertops. It's super easy to match up as the pattern is so 'busy' so hardly any waste. Sticks well. Did get a few bubbles but on a horizontal surface that's pretty much inevitable. Quick go around with a needle and a soft cloth got rid of them! Easily wipes over for any spills and marks.

I would give it a 0 if I could. Attention to detail is key in a business!I ordered this a few months ago but my grandson wasn't coming into town until now install it.We opened the box and were very, very disappointed.This paper has a lot of blue in it when I opened it but as you see in the photo on Amazon it does not have blue!Of course, the window to return it has closed and now I'm stuck with 4 rolls of paper I can't use.This is false advertising which is illegal.A lot of products on Amazon have been disappointing in color, texture or quality.

Love this product! It looks amazing and was pretty easy to apply. Make sure you use a blow dryer to smooth the surface and to "shrink wrap" corners and edges. If you have any air bubbles just take push pin and prick a teeny tiny bit and hit it with the blow dryer, smooth it out and the bubble will disappear. My mom actually thought I had new counter tops installed. You won't be disappointed!

Sent me the completely wrong color but whatever. I'm using it on a flip anyways. Looks like good quality, it's just disappointing when you don't get what you order.
