Europa Fine Linens Barcelona Matelasse Coverlet, King, Ivory

I ordered the twin coverlet for a daybed. It was even prettier after washing in cold water and drying on low. The washing/drying process which I did mainly to remove wrinkles and any fabric treatment remaining in the fabric also left the coverlet even prettier since it allowed the design to be more apparent. So pretty, I've ordered matching shams. Thank you, Amazon.

I purchased this in a twin size ivory for my mother’s bed after moving her to a nursing facility. Shipment was fast (arrived on Sunday!), and I immediately pulled it out of the plastic cover to wash before taking to the nursing home. The fabric had a strong burnt coffee-type chemical odor, which very faintly lingers after washing, but I imagine it will quickly disappear now that it is washed and out in open air. The fabric is just the right medium weight, the design far more beautiful and detailed than depicted in photos, and the ivory color is a perfect cream. Edges have a nice shirt hem, and corners are rounded. I didn’t want a coverlet that was long enough to touch the floor, so this is perfect. There was a bit of shrinkage, but not enough to cause any sizing problems. Both my mother and I are pleased!

I'm absolutely in love with my white coverlet! It's a beautiful snow white (not optic thank goodness), the design is a paisley but not too crazy busy, it's a medium weight that is perfect for Florida (Pinellas County-central west) although we do need to add a down comforter in the winter. It's 80% cotton & 20% poly. We have a queen size bed and wanted it to reach about halfway to the floor. I ordered a KING size to allow for shrinkage and should have ordered a California King as it did shrink quite a bit. I now have to turn it sideways as it doesn't hang over the bed as much as we like. I would definitely order this again, only I would order a Cal King for our bed.

washed well, shrunk some, ordered king for my queen and have perfect fit width wise but still wish it was a bit longer to reachhead of bed, few inches short if i want the bottom side edge covered . it is not an ivory more of a natural dark bone color, ivory sheets look yellow with it, might need to rethink sheet color now. i actually ordered a second to keep folded across bottom, and i ordered the shams, its an incredible beautiful design too and i love the hemmed edge, much richer than other matlesse withthe scalloed edge/thread. i ordered the shams too, my bed looks amazing, rich, inviting!!!!

The coverlet is beautiful and the perfect weight for summer nights (or winter nights here in So. Cal.). It washes up nicely and is easy care. The only downside (and the reason behind only three stars) is that it is smaller than I expected. Wanting to use it as a spread that would cover the entire bed down to the floor, I ordered a King size for our Queen size bed. When it arrived I followed the instructions and washed it in cold water and dried it on cool. Even so, it is the perfect fit for a Queen size coverlet - but does not reach to the floor nor reach all the way to the top of the bed as a spread would. I can't imagine that it would even come close to fitting a King size bed.

There are not enough words to tell you how beautiful and gorgeous this coverlet is. I was looking for something that looked like my girlfriends antique coverlet. This pattern was perfect. But little did I know until it arrived how amazing it is! The weight is perfect and makes the bed look fabulous. My only comment would be if the side lengths could be a little longer to cover the sides of my king size bed. Other than that, it's a great investment. I can't say enough about how awesome this coverlet is....I just love it!

They look very nice, and were a bit lighter in color than pictured (which I hoped, because "ivory" is definitely a lighter color than the beige-ish color you see in the picture). They are definitely LONG in the king size; I suggest using two pillows or very overstuffed pillows to give them a solid look. With a single king pillow they look a bit flat because of the length.

This is a beautiful coverlet and comfortable to sleep under in the warm climate where I live. My only disappointment is that it shrank quite a bit in the wash and now doesn't quite cover our king mattress. I wished the manufacturer had sized the coverlet with this shrinkage in mind.
