Bridging the Distance: A Kindred Tales Novel

First, a positive note. Usually, the Kindred males in this series sense their mate very early on in the book. However, this started out refreshingly different. Bound Tight (hero) needs Lorelei's (heroine) skills to find his twin brother who has been captured by bad guys; he isn't claiming her as his mate.Then, a quick and repulsive downhill slide begins. As another reviewer notes, the h is forced to perform explicit sexual acts on the H. They have only just met. This specific plot line has been repeated over and over again lately. It demeans the h and is very unpleasant to read. If the author thinks these actions are sexy or romantic, she is sadly mistaken.I have been a fan of this author since I read her very first book in the Kindred series. But the last 4 or 5 books have been using the plot line where the h is forced to perform sex acts on the H in front of an audience. This trend is disturbing and demeaning to both women and men. I really hopes this changes in any new books. These stories just make me disappointed and angry.The last few chapters are just plain stupid.SPOILER ahead!! SPOILER!!Lorelei and Bound Tight manage to rescue his brother Torn. Due to torture his captors performed upon him, he has lost his memory. The H and h eventually help him regain his memories. This is fine. Then, the stupidity and lack of imagination begins. Bound Tight is then captured by different bad guys and guess what? HE is tortured and loses HIS memory. Are you kidding me? Readers deserve better than this.

Spoilers! Probably the worst of the series. Likable characters and interesting premise but it falls short in many ways. There is so little character development that I found myself losing interest. The plot meanders and then abruptly ends, without a satisfactory rise and fall. Basically the same thing happens twice and is solved the same way both times. Snore. I wish she had gone more in to depth on the interesting cyborg/enhanced’s experience and character, rather than almost instantly “curing” him. It was a good idea and I would have enjoyed more time spent on developing that experience. Overall, I’m disappointed I waited so expectantly for this book.

Ok i have to say that this one was quiet funny at times and made me laugh. Which is a positive...i read the other reviews and some of these people are rude as the charactoristics of the Kindred are they love to eat pussy, are hung like horses and worship there females and are good lovers so thats a given to be in all the books what make them worth the read is what type of kindred they are what they can do different sexually and what the situations are . Those are the things that make the different stories and it takes a hellava imagination to even think of this stuff. I have bought all her books on kindred and have gotten a couple free ones of the other seriers she writes and i enjoy reading them.

This book is no different from any other book in the series. Verbiage doesn’t change at all. It’s almost insulting to the reader to read the Kindred series and find so much of the wording to be the EXACT same. How lazy and frustrating. Also, her books always seem to put the women in these sexually forced situations. Of course she always agrees but it’s really disturbing that every book has a woman making the decision to either preform or receive a sexual act under duress. For an author that likes to pretend to be sex positive, she horrifically falls short as none of the women are ever capable of the same and often put into sexual situations they are basically forced to agree to. This is the opposite of sex positive.

I love that i got sucked into another intoxicating, drugging book. The character is someone i can relate to who has self dought and makes you want to root for them. I will be looking into more of your books. I will be getting them. I feel i should start leaving them to help encourage the authors who write books i like to keep coming up with the stories. :) I am always looking into broadening my romance sub types, i.e. the master/slave, the aliens, the beasts, the cyborgs, and shifters, or more. I have slowly come to love a variety of sub type for romance. (Of course its all my addictiton to read books, the ones that drag me in and make me want more are the types i keep going back to. My mood shifts from subtypes often so when i find a new one i love, i jump right in and drown myself. LoL. Till i am sick and search again for a new one or get drowned in an old again. And here i go droning on... i am bad at this writing stuff, if i could only get my words out in proper order instead of middle, beginning, end or a something of the like, i would love to write a real book. LoL.)(Over 1500 books, and rising, read, mostly romance and fantasy adventures, in less than 25 yrs, yeah i have a problem. LoL)P.S. That is only counting the ones i have read on my e-reader apps in the last 6 yrs...Thank you for reading this. I stopped buying this series a few books back. It had become so 'samie' it eas boring. The same story on a different.When I first found this author, some time ago, I enjoyed the bit of spice she gave to her sexy matings but as the series progressed it was the same descriptive words used over and over again. All the couples seem to enjoy having sex in the same way, even the dirty bedroom talk is the same in each book.To the author I say 'Variety is the spice of life, change it up a little'.

Lorelei, Torn and Bound’s story was lovely.I hadn’t realised this was a Kindred Tale as I was too busy admiring Bound and Torn’s chests to notice what was written on the cover! Even though this, as a Kindred Tale, was a shorter story it was still full of action, comedy and Evangeline’s excellent standard of romance/ sex.I always say how amazing Evangeline’s imagination is but really it’s incredible. Her ideas flow endlessly and I always look forward eagerly to her next story.

What a lovely way to spend a lazy Sunday day morning reading another kindered ........again another sexy story love those twin kindered .😊😊 I enjoy the whole naughty experience they make me smile ....yes I know how it will end but that's how I !like it so .....onto the next 😊😊😊

I love the story line in this book and look forward to reading more in the series and the lives of the people in the books

Another fantastic Brides of the Kindred story. They just keep getting better and better. Wish I had the space to get them in paperback.

Nicht so gut wie erhofft... die Handlung dieses Teils ist derart flach, es tut schon weh. Jede kleine Komplikation wird ohne Hürde direkt gelöst und die Romanze zwischen den Hauptdarstellern viel zu oberflächlich und schnell. Tiefe Gefühle spürt man eher zwischen den Brüdern als zwischen ihnen und Lorelei. Ich bin enttäuscht. Die Bücherreihe war mal so gut aber mittlerweile überlege ich echt aufzuhören. :(

Such a wonderful book thank you. I loved the turnaround with the twins each experiencing loss of control and memories and the return of both. I wanted the book to keep going. I so loved the book and this series. You are so talented and I hope the kindred series never ends. The other books/series are just as fan but my favourite is kindred. Highly recommend this series and also highly recommend Evangeline Anderson just brilliant.

This book has it all, a little bit of humour, lots of actionand a ton of adventure. A must read.Can a girl get a break? First her car reposses itself and drives away without her,then she falls over trying to chase it, and the icing on the cake, she gets the sacked.Then a Kindred asks if she'd work for him, to saves his twin.What's a girl to do? Go with him of course. Loved this book.👍
