This is a tong for someone that’s new to this and wants a real working tool. So with that in mind, nice tool, works, very cool.On the other hand, if your buying a tool to forge metal... your most likely beyond “level one” and will INSTANTLY feel ripped off.I bought this for my son who showed interest in making metal bars. Once it arrived I felt ripped off. It’s really cheap steel with a black coating that does its job. So cool. But if your into making stuff, that’s where the problems become overwhelming.It works, but anyone with any amount of knowledge already will undoubtably feel they could have done a better job for a 10th the cost. This is an incredibly OVERPRICED TOOL for a DYIer.If you don’t won’t to do your own work and somehow need this tool... A++.If you do anything on your own and value doing things yourself, watch ANY video on how to make them AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A LIGHT WELDER and you can make this $55 tong for $1.00 plus paint.This tool really made me rethink a few things.

Wanted to purchase for a larger crucible than advertised… modified by widening it with a hammer. Noticed the welds are thin and brittle… it works but not exactly a quality tool, the grip is not that great for the price paid

Good set of tongs for the size crucible I’m currently using. Strong but light-weight.I’ve added a sliding clamp to lock it in place to make it a little safer for the work I do, but works fine straight out of the box. 👍🏼
