Milbar 11W Safety Wire Twister Pliers 6" Manual Return-NEW

At Embry Riddle (aviation school) we were taught to use duck billed pliers to twist safety wire when securing aircraft parts. After I got a job with a major airline, I found that using duck billed pliers got really frustrating so joined the rest of the mechanics and bought one of these Malbar wire twisters for I believe $79, that was perhaps 50 years ago.This is a serious tool for a serious job as aircraft mechanics that use one of these every day like I did. No spring loaded auto return which is nice like what I was issued in the Air Force but not necessary. With auto return you tend to over twist the wire which weakens the safety.Today's high price reflects 50 years of inflation, especially the last year in 2021.
