Very good, not perfect
I've been using this every week day from my home office for the past 6 months with Microsoft Surface Pro 7. My SP7 is running all the latest firmware and Windows 10 updates as of 8/3/2020.One of the limitations of the SP7 is the number of ports. The attached image shows this adapter plugged into the only USB-C port and directly below it, plugged into the only USB 3.0 port, is an eMeet c980 webcam. Also visible is the Logitech wireless keyboard + mouse adapter plugged into this hub. The keyboard/mouse combo does occasionally have some lag when plugged into the hub that I do not experience when it is plugged directly into the SP7 USB 3.0 port. Unfortunately, one of the issues with this hub is that the webcam will NOT work when plugged into this hub. This issue is not exclusive to the eMeet webcam, I have also tried this with a Logitech webcam and had the same issues. What does work great is the HDMI output. It works perfect connected to my 4k LG IPS monitor (27UD58-B 27) at 3840x2160 resolution. I have also tested it connected to a couple televisions and have had not issues there either.I have not tested the VGA port, but it is one of the reasons that I chose this hub because I do occasionally have to use my SP7 to present in conference rooms where VGA is the only option. The bottom line... Don't expect this to be as good as something larger and more high end like a Dell Universal D6000 dock, but if you are not port constrained, need a solid UBS-C to HDMI + VGA adapter, and need to be portal, then this hub is a great affordable choice.

Dell says this adapter is 10 watts under their recommended power requirement for an XPS-13
I purchased this adapter for use with a 2019 model Dell XPS-13 which has two Thunderbolt 3 with Power Delivery and Display ports and one USB-C 3.1 with Power Delivery and Display port, The description for this product in Amazon specifically identified the Thunderbolt 3 port and said the product worked with Dell XPS 13 and 15 models. The VGA interface works fine and the USB 3.1 adapter now seems to be working but it was sporadic initially. If I try to stat my XPS-13 with my OEM Dell power cord connected to the adapter, I'm stopped by a pre-boot Dell warning message that says "Alert, you have attached an undersized 35W power adapter which is less than the recommended 45 W adapter.: The message goes on to explain that this may drain the battery if the computer is working under load. There are several ways to bypass this message which otherwise prevents booting (I start my computer on battery power and then add the adapter after it is running; an alternative would be to go into the BIOS and disable the pre-boot compatibility check) and I haven't noticed any battery drain from simple web browsing and Excel/Word type tasks but it sounds like there might be a problem if I was trying to do something more rigorous such as gaming.

Unstable Video Output
I connected my Nintendo Switch to a Samsung 1080p monitor with this adapter. So my gaming setup is like this: Video from the monitor, audio from headphones plugged directly into the Switch. Power to the HDMI adapter is via the official Nintendo Switch power supply. The picture quality is pretty good, but every few minutes the video signal will glitch out and the screen will go blank for a couple seconds before returning to normal. It does this whether I am using the HDMI output or the VGA output.I know there is not a problem with my monitor. I have been using it full-time for years without anything like that ever happening. It only happens when using this adapter.I have noticed that this adapter gets pretty warm to the touch while in use. I wonder if something is internally overheating which is causing frequent drops in video output.

Works Great with my M1 MacBook Air and 2021 iPad Pro!
Got this device for my new MacBook Air. Works great! I just got a new 12.9 in iPad Pro and it works great with that, too! I’m very pleased with purchase. I may buy another one to have a spare or use with both devices.UPDATE - Will not connect the 2021 iPad Pro to an external display. I thought it did, but when I needed it to, it did not work…

Worked well out of the box
After receiving the item, I tried all the ports and it worked as designed. I used it on a new Apple iPad Pro 11 (2020 model) and the HDMI worked, the USB C pass-through worked and the VGA worked. I thought the USB A 2.0 did not work but it was because my hard drive was formatted in NTFS and not the required FAT32 or exFAT. Make sure your drives are formatted so Apple products can see if you are using iPads. The housing is very sturdy being made out of aluminum and the dongle cable is much thicker and rigid than a standard cable so it should take a lot of abuse before it breaks. The connection at the base is very rigid. This is a great alternative to the $70 Apple HDMI dongle and it has more features.

Was not compatible for me - but Great Customer Service!
I needed either a vga to hdmi, usb, or usb c adapter to connect my newish laptop to my old school monitor to extend the display and work with dual monitors. I thought this one would give me lots of options for other things I might need to connect between. Unfortunately, neither the vga to usb or using the vga to usb c parts of this adapter allowed either spare vga monitor I had to be recognized by my laptop. The vga to hdmi adapter I bought worked like a charm for one of the two monitors. I contacted the customer service email ([email protected]) and they asked for my order number and more info about my specific devices I was trying to connect, and asked me to try booting up in safe vga mode to connect - which unfortunately didn't help. They promptly processed the return and said they would add my devices to the incompatibility list for future customers to see.

Nice quality, works is great!
I got this for traveling. It works great! I can download content to my phone, hook up to a TV and watch all the shows I have on the phone. The image on the TV has all the resolution of the content as it was saved. I have only used the HDMI.So far, I have only used it to hook up from the phone to one device. It says it will output to more than one at a time and I would believe it would. The only draw back (and it wasn't a problem for me) is the instructions are nonexistent. The documentation that comes with it really doesn't say much. But to me it was clear where to plug in the phone, the HDMI cable and the power for the phone to keep going.
