Awesome! for 1st time user!
DIYer, i build kit guitars as a Hobby, but always stumbled in the finishing part of the builds. Spraying Clear coats is sooooo time consuming I would always hesitate starting kits, friends even offered to pay for my service, but i always declined. because finishing/painting is so tedious. I wait til summer to start any new projects. the heat speeds up my process! But his product only requires Bright sunshine for about 5-10 minutes instead of days of "gassing out"! even weeks of drying time! Yes, saves soo much times I can now finish 5 coats in 1 sunny afternoon! Tip; To avoid gator skin; let it "layout" after brushing on evenly. then take it to the sun.I live in so. Calif.,(summer gets very sunny!) used sponge not a chip brush, which caused ripples. sanded & polished beautifully to a high shine! Saved me about 3 months of curing time!!! get some.

Worked great fixing a carbon fiber e-foil....using the plastic sheet method
Found a ding the size of a dime on an edge of our fairly new Lift Efoil. Watch some youtubes for ideas on technique and the ones that use a sheet of plastic or even a ziploc bag then tape it over the "wound" after applying this product yielded a smooth finish. First time I have ever repaired them, thus the 5 stars. It's Newbie proof! And yes it needs sunlight but it cures quickly so recommend doing it in shade then carry it out into the sun to quickly cure.

Great option for weekend luthiers
I restored my 1980 Hamer Sunburst with ICBINL. I tried several thinner coats but couldn't get a good level sand without going through. So, I changed strategy and went with two thick layers with "regular" sanding in between. Then, a "not quite" level sand, a third thick layer, and proper level and finish sand. I tried to optimize the self-leveling feature by letting it sit for 30 minutes after application and before exposing it to sunlight. The photo shows after 3 buffings with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze M10508 Ultra-Cut Compound and 2 buffings with Meguiar's M20508 Mirror Glaze Ultra Finishing Polish. I think this would have become extremely mirror-like if I had spent more time on wet sanding. This is definitely a great product if you are looking for a water-based finish that doesn't need to be sprayed. You need to set the correct expectation on what sanding is required based on your desired outcome.

Works very well on guitars
I used this product as a clear coat finish for a guitar that I was building. The biggest advantage is that you don't need professional spray equipment to apply Solarez I Can't Believe It's Not Lacquer. This product can be wiped on with a foam pad or brush and it can be cured in minutes simply by exposing it to UV light (at 385nm), including sunlight. My plan was to apply a total of six coats to the guitar. The only problem I ran into was that the post-cured finish remained a bit tacky, even after extended exposure to sunlight. While that tackiness could be sanded off prior to applying another coat, it clogged up my expensive abrasives, which was a bit of a pain. I reached out to technical support at Solarez and they gave me some tips on how to cure their product, but they never gave me a solution for the post-cure tackiness issue.Ultimately, I dry sanded the finish from 800 grit all the way up to 3000 grit, and then polished it with three progressively finer polishing compounds. The result was an outstanding finish that looked great on the guitar. For those of us without expensive spraying and buffing equipment, this is a great alternative.

Low odder, best when rubbed on
It does have a smell, but it's far less then any other wood finishes I've tried. It's also the only finish that hasn't cause problems with allergies or asthma for anyone in the family, so that is a big plus. I have found it's easier to get even layers when rubbing on the finish instead of brushing it on. It does cure in sunlight in a matter of minutes on a sunny day. I'm in Colorado and I understand it's most likely faster at high altitude then it would be at sea level.

Nice sampler pack.
There is not a lot of product here (small tubes), but it seems to work great. I've now tried each of the small tubes and all of them had a very small amount of tack when fully cured in the sun. The 2 hard resin tubes (thick and thin) each dried hard while the flex resin was indeed flexible. These have about the same properties as many of the other resins on the market at about the same price, however, I would say that it dries with less tack than the others (I've tried 3 other products). Also, although the quantity looks small in these tubes, I've been using them for about a year and still have some left in each tube. I tie a lot of flies too.Update 12.19.18: Since I've seen several negative reviews here, I'd like to reiterate that for me this stuff works as good as and maybe even better than all the other UV resins I've tried. The flimsy plastic tops on 2 of the tubes split on me, but I just put the entire tube out in the sun and the tops were auto sealed by the leaking resin. Still have about 1/4 left in each tube.

Works great, nice variety
I use this sparingly in a few patterns I like to tie. It’s a good amount and comes in 3 varieties enough to experiment with. It is effective and easy to use above all. For my own purposes this is a perfect amount that will last me a long time. Note I am a hobbyist/enthusiastic amateur, by no means a professional, I only use this for own purposes. The amount may be inadequate for other purposes, none the less a great product.
