This opener works just fine, is easy enough to install with the instructions provided either within or with the gate opener. My only criticism is that the 50 ft cable is far too short; I'm practically on top of my gate before it's opening. But hey, it's still easier than getting out of the car, and I can always use the remote if I'm in a hurry.

I purchased the exit wand to allow visitors to exit the property without having to use a keypad. Installation was simple and the video was extremely helpful with making the connections in the control panel. I used the entire length of the cable and enclosed it in 3/4" PVC conduit, which I buried it in a shallow (3") trench along side the driveway. After installation, I had a small issue with the gate opening on its own every 7-8 minutes. After a discussion with Laura in Customer Support, I determined that I had set the potentiometer (included in the package) to its maximum sensitivity and a slight adjustment corrected the problem. Customer support with this entire project has been exceptional and I am 100% satisfied.

The exit wand made the Topens gate system I installed a lot more practical when leaving the from inside the property. Installation was a breeze. I did have issues with the unit 8 months after installation though. I contacted customer support (Zack) and he provided me with trouble shooting for the system. After we went through the steps to diagnose the problem, the wand was defective, Zack sent out a new wand, at no charge! I cannot say enough about the customer service, it was really nice to have competent people at the other end of the line.

The Topens Exit Sensor Works Great and was Easy to Install

The TOPENS exit wand works great and is easy to instal. I tried purchasing cheaper models on Amazon but found myself frustrated trying to get them to work with my TOPENS A5S opener. After receiving my exit wand it was a simple install and it worked immediately. I am very happy with my purchase and new automatically opening gate setup from TOPENS.

This wand was easy to install and is very sensitive. I put it on min sensitivity and it worked great. Topens customer service recommended adding extra solar panels because my unit is solar only with no AC power. They recommend 50watts because the wand draws power constantly because it is a magnetic.

Love being able to drive up and gate opens automatically to let me out of my property. I don’t regret buying this product.
