So much fun
I’m still working on my painting and I’ll update when completed. I’m very happy with the project overall. I did purchase some finer point brushes from Michaels because there are lots of teeny tiny spaces! I’m sure the brushes included will suffice for most kits. I have an Ott light on my table which I use for extra illumination. Helps a lot. I also rinse my brushes as I work periodically in small amount of water and swipe dry on paper towels. Just adds a bit more fluidity to paints. My plan is to add more to lighter colors as I’m closer to finishing. I’ve had no problems identifying the color numbers. Chart included is very helpful. I will buy more after this. In fact I have a second PBN already purchased!August update - almost completed in second photo. Couple small spaces then I will touch up the thin parts. I wish I kept a total of hours that I’ve spent painting. Usually an hour or so each morning before work and more on weekends. Need breaks for my eyes to readjust. I will probably purchase a light/magnifier combo soon for next pbn. As to hours, at least 30. But I’ve enjoyed every minute. It’s amazing to watch the picture come to life. I will frame when completed and hang in my new wallpapered bathroom. Paints are great. Getting dry as I’m going on. I just add drops of water and close up the paint and leave it set til next session.Last update - bought the 16x20” brushed nickel frame from Amazon too and I trimmed edges of pbn, perfect fit!

Such an awesome new hobby
Wow. This was so fun to do. It was beautiful to watch it unfold as I was painting! So much so I’ve gotten a second and will probably end up with all the Vincent paintings! Definitely enough paint is sent. The brushes are a good quality. Although I did use some of my own as well.

Great for beginners or former painters
This was fun, addicting and stressful at times. It came with 4 strips of paint containers, several brushes but I only needed half of them. Mine looks like the original painting (I think) even though when I started, I thought there's no way this turns out good.I painted in order of color, working across & down, left to right. Was slightly frustrating to find missed numbers after I had moved on to the next color. I purchased a hard drawing board & tabletop easel because I thought it would be more comfortable to do it that way.The printed picture is helpful in case you cover a number or go over a line, easy to do as some spots are very small or spaces wrap around another space.I also purchased a rectangular magnifying glass with optional light & it was really helpful for those tiny spaces.I gave it 4 stars because sometimes it was hard to tell the number of a space as it wrapped around others but the number was not printed in all areas or the number was not centered & crossed a line of a spot that would be painted prior to that one.Don't be stingy with the paint, especially when covering the numbers or lines, mine came with extra paint for the ones that may need it.Added bonus: this is quite time consuming & I found myself snacking less while doing it.

I loved painting this!
My fifth Paint By Number and my favorite. It is always a thrill to reproduce such a famous painting and get up close and personal to Van Gogh's color palette. But also--unlike my previous four kits purchased elsewhere--there was a generous amount of paint so I could imitate the thick strokes of Van Gogh and achieve (somewhat) the same look. The canvas wasn't a linen feel--more like a starched fabric--and it held the paint well and felt good painting. Unlike my previous experiences, it was also printed in reddish tones (you can see on vendor images), and was much easier to cover lines and numbers. Printing in a grayscale (reddish) made it easier to pick out the number I was working on as well. I have never posted an image of my painting to a review, but I HAD to with this because I enjoyed the entire process so much. There was a long delay in receiving the order, although the vendor shipped immediately on purchase. The world was in a hard place in early April when I placed the order and Chinese orders in particular, had a tough time getting out. I can't hold that against these guys and will be delighted to order from them again.

I have done a number of pbn paintings and this company delivers better quality than any other i have seen. the excellent brushes, great canvas, and paints that don't have to be thinned but are ready to use. this is my new go to company for all my future pictures for sure.

Nice PBN and awesome customer service.
This is my first paint by numbers. I bought a more complicated one and decided I should really do a practice one first. Lots to learn and glad I’m doing this one first. Both the paint and the printed canvas are high quality. The printed number guide is a nice bonus although taking a good picture with my iPhone before painting let’s me zoom in close if an adjacent number gets painted over by mistake. The brushes that came with the set aren’t bad but they’re really too big to get in to some of the smaller detail spaces. I bought a couple smaller brushes at michaels (curbside delivery). The 5/0 spotter is my goto now.So why 5 stars? There was a slight problem with one of the paint pots. I emailed Banlana through Amazon and got a response a few hours later that a replacement paint pot we be sent to me quickly. They followed up the next day saying the new paint would arrive at my house in one day. True to their word the paint showed up and I was back on my way.You can pay a lot or a little for so many different items on amazon and other places. When I find a place with exceptional customer service I know they’re a keeper.

The Starry Night is my favorite painting so I love doing my own!
A friend gifted me a paint by number back in September. I fell in love with with it. Since then (now January) I’ve done 7 paintings. They have all come with brushes- ok, paints - usually at least one of the pots are dry, but the rest of the paint pots are ok. The numbers on the canvas are usually fine to see. Sometimes, there’s no number on the canvas or the reference sheet, but just be creative and take an educated guess from what’s around it.For the price, I think it’s a great deal. Now to frame and hang them all. Hahahaha

Difficult task but it look nice in the end
The color is not right. Too green compare to the original one. But it’s fine, still look good. I took a week to finish this. I understand the shipping fee is expensive. But if you buy this in China. You only need to pay less than 4 dollar to get a framed one.

Question
Just started. Love it already. Can anyone tell me if the grey shaded areas are meant to be left unpainted?

Perfect for someone with patience and steady hands, very tiny parts to paint.
Exactly what I expected.
