MIAWomen's Namby Ankle-Strap Sandal

I was really craving a cute pair of clogs for fall, but a little hesitant to buy these after reading reviews in a few different places regarding the sizing and discomfort due to the wooden sole. However I just received mine and I’m so pleased with them! I’m usually a 7, sometimes a 7.5, and they fit perfectly. Not too loose, but I have a comfortable amount of space all around my foot. I definitely wouldn’t classify them as cheaply made, but the style of the shoe is more rustic than polished. I’m also surprised at how comfortable they are, granted I haven’t gone very far in them yet. Just walking around the house they aren’t nearly as harsh on my feet as I had expected. The brown color is beautiful (no filter, taken in natural light) and the slight dip towards the toe is just enough to make them look cute rather than orthopedic. So happy I took the plunge!

I have been wanting some Swedish style clog sandals for a long time, but I was hesitant to pay almost $200. So I took a chance on these MIA shoes for less than half the price, and I’m so glad I did! They are so cute!! The reviews are true that you want to order up a size if you are a 1/2 size. I wear and 8 or 8 and 1/2 and I ordered a 39. The toe box is slightly snug, but these are leather so I’m confident they will mold to my feet. The soles are wooden with rubber grips at the bottom. I ordered the black for my first pair so they match everything, but I would love to order the olive color as well. I have been getting some plantar fasciitis lately and I have high arches so it was time to get some shoes with good support. I work in an environment where I walk quite a bit every day. I will have to give an update after I wear them to work, but they have felt amazing walking around my house so far. My only tiny complaint is that the staples are a teeny bit crooked in places, but I knew that ahead of time from the reviews. I think I am willing to deal with that for the quality of the shoes and the money I saved from buying other brands.

I love the look of the shoe and I love the color; however, the sole is pure wood with no type of cushioning, so it makes the bottom of your toes hurt terribly!!!!!!!!!! It feels better to walk on cement. I was going to try buying a memory foam insole for the front of the foot. However, I wore these shoes for 5 minutes around the house, and after 2 hours, the bottom of my toes still hurt. And I got a flare-up of my plantar fasciitis on my right foot that had been resolved with physical therapy three weeks ago. My right ankle even started hurting. What a shame that I will have to return these because they are truly, truly pretty. Ouch!! lovely. If you want comfort, you have to go with Sanita, Dansko or Alegria. Why some reviewers say that these shoes are truly comfortable beats me!!!!!!!!! VERY lovely look, though. I do not recommend these shoes.

Oh well. I tried these in both the 10 and the 9 and neither fit. The 10 - ordered because everyone said they run small; order a size up - were way too big. My foot was swimming in the toe box and the strap wouldn't stay on my heel, plus the foot bed was 3/4 inch too long, so it looked weird. Returned for a 9.Tried on the 9 after work (when you really should try on shoes so that if your feet swell at all, you'll know if they fit!) and could barely wiggle my toes! Such a bummer because I was hoping to wear these at a wedding next month.Oh well.

The color is a nice chestnut brown and I feel like it will go with a lot. The wood is a bit lighter and warmer in color than in the product photo. I will need to get gel inserts for the ball of my foot because they are very hard, but that is to be expected since they are wooden. I am a true size 8.5 and I selected the 9 which is a 39 and they fit well. If you are between sizes, I would size up. The only reason I gave a 4/5 is because some of the staples are uneven and they came with a scuff on the toe (pictured).

I am a nurse and am used to wearing Danskos, being on my feet all day. I was excited to get these Mias--super cute, closed toe, just in time for summer. At first, they fit just fine. I am a size 6.5 normally, but sized up to 7 due to reviews--glad I did. Buckle helps to adjust and get a snugger hold on to my ankle. However, in comparison to weight, there is no cushioning, so it really feels like clomping around with 2 blocks of wood. Short-term, it's ok?...but after 9 or so hours?...oh my goodness...my poor co-workers, I must have sounded like Frankenstein or a horse?, because I seriously could barely walk. I will try again, because these were gifted to me, but...I dunno. These are not like Danskos. (ok 2 days later) Second try to work, still very uncomfortable as the hours dragged on--heavier and clunkier with every passing hour. I received many compliments on the look, but no one obviously could feel the shoes except for me. Good arch support but that truly is it. Blocks of wood.

This is a well made clog but I was unable to move smoothly with them on. They did not rock as much as they clomped when I walked. The tread does not mute the noise at all. The toe box felt constricting after wearing Danskos all the time. I rarely return anything but these just didn’t fit my needs. If I were in my teens they would probably have seemed fun and easy wear.

Not only are these extreamly comfortable and cute, I got caught in an unexpected downpour and there is no sign of water hitting these shoes. Not one watermark. I LOVE these shoes! Now I want a pair in all colors.

The instructions said to buy half a size up, so I got a size 39 (because I’m a size 8) but the shoes are too big, which makes them uncomfortable to walk in.
