Love Hina Omnibus, Vol. 1 (My Kindle Review)
“Love Hina” is one interesting and hilarious slice-of-life manga that is certainly not like most of it’s genre.Keitaro Urashima is a guy whose goal is to get into Tokyo University, but has unfortunately struck out twice. Despite being hugely ambitious with his dream, he’s a bit of a slacker with his studies and has very bad luck with girls because of his awkward personality. He finds refuge in his grandmother’s hotel that’s now a girls-only dorm and immediately gets a chilly reception from the tenants. They are successful high school student Naru, shy middle schooler Shinobu, energetic Su, serious swordsgirl Motoko, and jaded and manipulative Kitsune. He definitely gets more than he bargained for and for now he must try to get serious with his studies, being the new manager of the dorm and bond with his tenants despite getting into situations and facing Naru’s wrath. The winter holidays have arrived in the second volume but that can’t stop Keitaro for prepping for his mock entrance exam and the others help him get his head in the game. Volume three sees him and Naru ready for the test, only for both of them to surprisingly not make the grade and each try to take a break from the devastation. Their separation from each other turns into a night out together in Kyoto and meet Mutsumi, a odd and flighty girl who turns out to act a lot like Keitaro. The three end up having a wonderful island trip and things starts to get pretty romantic. This series is a real hoot with lots of personality, humor and romantic tension. One thing that I like is how it’s not about the fanservice but the interactions between the characters that’s just so engaging. They’re also plenty of humor on almost every page and there’s plenty of Naru’s fist of fury that flies a lot too, mainly at Keitaro. Yet, it certainly looks like she’s feeling something for him and can’t wait to see more. A (100%/Outstanding)

A refreshing change from other rom-coms...
...Add some harem elements, slice of life, a wee bit of craziness, & adorable yet insanely aggressive girls, and you get this manga. I rather enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the next omni. Art, fairly good, but kinda rough. It often seems rushed. Dialogue, fair. Too much anger from female characters. Characters, fairly believable & all very likeable.

The MC is an unlikeable pansy
I don’t know what it is with Japanese men, but they are portrayed as losers afraid of women, and for some reason women fall for these losers. If you have detectable levels of testosterone, the MC will frustrate you to no end given his eunuch like loser tendencies.

The omnibus is great since it combines multiple volumes into one book
The omnibus is great since it combines multiple volumes into one book. However, the change in translators from Tokyopop to Kodansha is kinda bad. The translation is a bit weird with Kodansha and there are a few grammatical errors such as missing letters and spelling. There is at least one page where the text from the text bubble runs off the page and a letter or two are missing because of that. Otherwise this is a pretty good buy for what it is. The original volumes are better in translation but you would have to pay a bit more to buy all 14 volumes rather than paying a bit less for the compiled 5 volumes by Kodansha.

Not the original Tokyopop translation
If it weren't for my nostalgia of the Tokyopop translation, I'd be giving this the full 5 stars just because it's a re-release of my first manga series. But if you're buying this to give it a re-read from back in the day, the new script might irk you too.

Enertaining
While not as funny as when I read it when I was younger, still and entertaining manga. Worth checking out.

Ronin Harem
Wacky comedy of a a group of girls staying in a former Inn with the Manager being Keitaro-kun who is a 3 time Ronin trying pass his University entrance exams. Naru-chan is the main love interest of Keitaro-kun and is also a Ronin trying to get into Tokyo University! Keitaro-kun is very clumsy and accident prone and keeps having misfortunes of seeing the girls naked! Naru-chan keeps using her powerful fisticuffs on poor Keiraro-kun and considers him a dangerous pervert! Hilarious goofiness!

A fun Japanese romantic comedy - must read for late teens starting Uni
I thought the animé was rubbish and couldn't get into it, however, this manga is a good read. Worth getting the Omnibus as the individual volumes are a short read. Unfortunately, there are some minor mistakes and deviations from the original which most people shouldn't hopefully notice.

A bit too repetitive. Improves after a few volumes.
Nice read to kill time, but really kind of shallow and a one trick pony: nerdy boy keeps bumping into nude tenants and gets thrashed as a result. Repeat ad nauseam. Not much else, with paper-thin characters and no story to speak of. May just satisfy horny teenagers who have never had a chance to get close to a girl, but there are much better manga out there.Update: improves along the way, with the author finally exploring some broader and crazier storylines. But what's with Su Kaolla shamelessly copying Skuld from Oh My Goddess??? Not to mention the date line trick, out of Jules Verne's "Around The World In 80 Days". Let's just call it homage, rather than plagiarism.
