Can I use this yeast for cider ?

I used this yeast for cider because I wanted secondary fermentation in the bottle (Champagne method) and it worked a treat. Not sure it turned out like apple wine, but it tasted very much like the mass market one with bows & arrows :)

Is this the same as brewers yeast please? Need it for a recipe for cookies.

If you mean some sort of clandestine brewing (or any sort of brewing), basically mixing a yeast with fruit juice or sugar water will create alcohol. Put a bit of cloth over the top half of the container with an elastic band so it can breathe but keep bugs out. Screw a cap on if you want it fizzy. Loosen the cap now and then is you don't want it to explode. Search online "How to make drinking alcohol".
