something different
The game is a bit different from other racers providing as others have said more of an arcade feel. The controls are very subtle if you try to steer hard you will fall out of the course. The main problem with this is that a great part of the course is in the air or over cliffs. I guess the game would be an aquired taste. You will need to be patient and practice a lot before you can stay on track for a whole race. The graphics look a bit generic and even though they are smooth and defined, they are not pleasant to the eye. It could have worked better if the developers tried to make it a bit more cartoony. It looks like something an independent developer had generated in his basement on his free time.I guess it can be fun to compete in multiplayer mode but your oponent would need to be experienced in the game too.In other words its a "so so" product so buy it only if you find it cheap.

Up to EIGHT players simultaneous multiplayer. Ideal for the Logitech force-feedback wheel.
Surprisngly, you can play up to EIGHT players simultaneously on one screen with this game, which makes for a great party situation. I can understand what people are saying about the difficulty when using the wiimote... while not impossible it can be a bit finicky. I find the controls and responsiveness to be most robust when using the Logitech force-feedback wheel, for which this game is compatible (up to 4 force-feedback wheels at a time). The graphics and sound are nothing to write home about, but it is clear that they focused on the game to run FAST and SMOOTH (60 fps even in multiplayer situations). As long as you go into it with an arcade racer mentality (not a simulator) you will not be dissapointed. Definitely a fun little racer.

Steer clear
The graphics are horrible, the controls are horrible, the concept was great. It is almost like they wanted to bring an F-Zero style game to the Wii but failed horribly. The controls are so bad that even with the Wii steering wheel (which this game is one of the few that supports it) I was flying off the track often due to the small margin of error and the poor controls. The graphics remind me of something you would see in a 32 bit system; not in the Wii.I don't want to completely waste my money so I will probably try it again and try to get used to the controls but no one wants to have to try to enjoy a game. We buy these for fun, not to be frustrated till we figure out the game physics so we can potentially have fun a few hours later. I gave up and moved on to a different game about 30 min after starting this one.

Speed Zone
Bought this game to work with the logitech steering wheel. (currently only 4 games work with this wheel)the game and graphics are great and even the wheel is a lot of fun with all the feedback it gives. The only downside is that the game is too difficult for my kid 7. The speeds at which the cars drive are like light speed (theme outerspace). def. for older gamers.

This game is fun on many levels
My kids really enjoy this game (they are 5 and 9 years old, boy and girl)and I like it too (quite a bit older). Its very versatile in that you can play against other people or play by yourself. It has three different types of competition and alot of tracks and cars to choose from. The graphics and the scenes are very imaginative and cool looking. Most race games you get tired of but this one has so much variety I think it will be a long time before we are tired of it. Out of 11 games my kids got for Christmas, they play this game by far the most.

GREAT FUN FOR SENIORS TOO
My wife and I are both 55 years old and truly enjoy this game. Lots of different track to play and different vehicle to purchace with the money you win.

Difficult game
This is a very difficult game. The tracks are complicated and the race seems to be faster than the controler will respond. I would not try this game unless you have been racing video games for years.

Lots of Fun
This is a fun game that appeals to a more serious racing fan. Although you can play this casually and still have a great experience, it's all the details and upgrades you can earn and add to your car that take the gameplay to another level. The tracks are unique and there's plenty to unlock. The steering and controls take some time but what game doesn't? For a Wii game, the graphics push the limit. Too many times I play Wii games that focus on the fun and not the substance. Speed Zone does both...well.By far, the best part of the game is playing with 8 of your buds...at the same time. no other game on the market has that feature and it makes for fun trash-talking. Add the free-for-all mode where 8 people are just trying to blow each other up with all the cool guns, lazers, tasers, etc... and mayhem ensues.Overall, there's really no other racing game like it on the market and the features they added are unique and revolutionary. Keep an open mind about what your buying...this is not Gran Turismo or F1 racing. It's a racing game with super cool tracks, fun modes, realistic upgrades, and real-life physics (turning, crashing, handling, etc).
