My cat always loves bonito flakes but she turned up her nose at these
I'm to blame. I tried to save a couple of bucks on my cat's bonito flakes and switched to another brand. My kitty, Goose, is usually so gung ho when I open up a package of these treats. So after these CittiKitty fish flakes arrived, I showed her the container and got her all worked into a tizzy. I placed a few of the airy-light flakes on the floor in front of her. She took a small sniff and drew back with a highly offended look on her face (she IS a highly-opinionated cat). I kept encouraging her and offered extra pieces both from my hand and also from her feeding bowl. The only contact she made was a paw swipe at one of the larger pieces. The ingredient listing is the same as the type I usually buy...just dried bonito flakes. These from CittiKitty list an ash content of 17% which the other brand didn't list. All I can figure is that they're processed in a different way and, therefore, smell odd to her. I would assume they taste different too -- but we never got that far. The container recommends refrigeration after opening.I tried again the following two days in hopes that she had just had an off day. Nope...same reaction. Fortunately, my two dogs love to devour anything edible (and some things that aren't). I think the fish flakes confuse them, though, since they're so light and airy. The flakes just disappear on their tongue. Sort of reminds me of Listerine breath strips that dissolve on your tongue...except fishy tasting. Urp.

All our cats love it!
Well, personally I think the product stinks. As in smells really bad. But of course, that's EXACTLY what our cats want and you should see them scramble to get this stuff when we put it out. When we open a new can of cat food, I can never be sure if they'll turn their nose up at it or not ... even if it's the same stuff I fed them last time. But there is NO hesitation in gobbling this stuff down whenever they get some. One suggestion though: serve this to them in a small bowl. Since some of the flakes are small, on a flat surface you tend to wind up with bits and pieces all over the place as they push it around trying to grab the biggest piece. I have often stood around and "concentrated" the left-overs into a small pile so that they can get it all. Or, if you have a dog like ours, you can put it on the floor and when the cats are done, the dog will clean up the rest (assuming I've restrained her so that she didn't eat it all before the cats did). And you get your floor washed too! :-)

Simply wonderful cat treats!
I have a wonderful arrangement with my neighbors whereby they watch after my dogs during my vacations, and I watch after their two large cats during theirs. I have bought these bonito flakes twice, now, and the cats have decided that I am their new best friend! They absolutely love the flakes, and I would recommend the flakes to anyone who has cats who might love to try them! The cats next door simply swoon when I give them these treats, and I will keep on buying them for future use!

Great treat for good kittie
These tuna flakes are how my cat starts EVERY morning! She absolutely adores them. She meows at us until she has been "flaked". Funny thing is (and I don't know if it's my quirky kitty or the flakes), once we get to the bottom quarter of the container, she's not so keen on them! My cat only goes crazy for the fresh flakes! We did buy in the larger containers, once, but once we got halfway through it, she would turn up her nose at the "stale" flakes.

Tuna flakes
I have two cats out of 6 that love these tuna flakes! One of the cats drives ecstasy until I give it to him. If you order this be sure to order small containers ( 2 oz rather than 6) because I ordered a larger one and it spoiled. Keep it in the refrigerator when not in use. We've tried other brands and this is the best according to my cats!

Fantastic cat treat
If you want to spoil your cats with an occasional treat, these tuna treats are the answer. Not to be giving daily because I think it could eventually put weight on your cat, but for a treat, all I have to do is say "TUNA TREATS" to my cats and they come running to the pantry! They love them.

Gets my cat to eat
This is a great dressing for wet food to get my terminally ill cat to eat enough to keep weight on. When he's not attracted to any of the cans I open, if I embed some of these flakes in the top of it, he'll eat everything it's sticking to. A real life saver without subjecting his kidneys to too much protein.

Cat Crack
I have 3 cats and was looking for something new...picked this up...they tried to rip the container out of my hands when i opened the seal..im not a big fan of the fish smell..but it drove them into a frenzy....so as far as the cats are concerned..this is a winner! 6 paws up!
