English Grammar Workbook For Dummies, 2nd Edition 2nd Edition

Great book to prepare for college, ACT, SAT, or just to brush up on what you have forgotten. I taught high school English and ACT prep for 8 years and used this book more than the textbook. It actually makes learning fun! Highly recommended!

I adore the way that grammar is presented here. It is light-hearted and humorous, and makes an often horrendously dull subject totally manageable and even fun sometimes. I would highly recommend this for middle school, high school, or adult learners, both ESL/ELL and those who just need to brush up on their English. I use it with adult learners that I tutor.

Perfect for sharpening your skills,! I gave it to one of my coworkers that need it to sharpen up their writing skills, after a few exercises I started to noticed the results.I recommend to make copies of some of the exercises (for educational purposes only) (try to get copy permissions) if you want to help out the person and you also need a copy to compared notes.Excellent, over all, I even bought the companion grammar book.

This has been very helpful to me. I am a writer and use Grammarly, but I want to be able to write without Grammarly. I may never have all the rules memorized, but it is getting easier to recognize the pitfalls and correct them before Grammarly does it. It is well written with a little humor and I love that Geraldine not only gives you the answers, but tells you why. I now realize I know more than I thought, but not as much as I want to know. Awesome book! Brand new and great condition. Gave excellent instruction and provided exercises with an answer key with explanation. I'm 40 years old and using the book to brush up and prepare for an entrance exam for nursing school.

I am a professional tutor. Every student who wants to improve their grammar works in Geraldine's workbook.Get the workbook. It has exercises to write out.Geraldine is funny. Any teenager would enjoy at least some of her humor as she teaches the intricacies of the English rules of grammar!

The book seems helpful enough and is a good supplement for my son's middle school studies. However, the Kindle version completely lacks any links between questions/exercises and answers. That makes the electronic version much less useful than it would be otherwise.
